The Annette is a wood frame covered in papier mache and finished in a limewash paint, housing a Giclee reproduction from Flora overo Cultura di Fiori, the landmark botanical work published in 1638 by Giovanni Battista Ferrari. The print showcases his iconic lemon illustrations in striking detail, set against sheets of music. A 17th century botanical engraving that feels as fresh and considered today as it did centuries ago. Each reproduction is printed on Somerset Velvet acid free cotton rag paper using archival inks, offering a light fastness of over 140 years. Subtle variations occur, as Ferrari’s original engravings were never identical, ensuring each piece possesses its own unique character. The frame arrives ready to hang on a polished brass wall easel.
