Disguising the curved form of the bowls, the polished concave inside distorts the reflection so that the actual shape appears flat. The Ballerina collection was designed for Skultuna, a 400-year old fine metals company from the Swedish town of the same name. Under royal warrant from the monarchy of Sweden, the company has been mastering the craft of metalworking and fine finishing techniques since 1607. In the Ballerina Bowls, clever modern design meets with historic production to create an ethereal design that acts like jewelry for the table, bringing the warmth of brass together with the poetry of design.
