The 3 Días Trail Ibiza is already attracting strong interest ahead of its 13th edition, with more than 1,000 runners registered for the 2026 event.
Taking place from November 27 to 29, the three-day trail running event will once again take participants across different parts of Ibiza, with Santa Eulalia del Río playing a particularly important role in this year's programme.
With more than two months still to go before the event, runners from 43 nationalities have already registered.
More Than 1,000 Runners Already Registered
The 2026 edition has already passed the 1,000-registration mark, putting the event on course to potentially exceed last year's participation.
In 2025, more than 1,200 runners from 41 nationalities took part.
This year, around 70% of registered participants are coming from outside the Balearic Islands, underlining the event's growing appeal beyond Ibiza itself.
Women currently represent around 40% of registrations, while approximately 70% of participants are new to 3 Días Trail Ibiza.
Santa Eulalia Takes Centre Stage
One of the main changes for 2026 is the increased role of Santa Eulalia del Río.
On Saturday, November 28, the 75-kilometre Ultra will start from Santa Eulalia, making the municipality one of the main centres of the competition.
The same day will also feature the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K events, bringing four different distances together during the event's busiest day.
The event will then return to Santa Eulalia for its final 10K on Sunday.
Three Days, Different Ibiza Landscapes
The format is designed to showcase different sides of the island.
The event begins on Friday, November 27, with a 10K night race, which includes the historic surroundings of Dalt Vila.
Saturday brings the main collection of longer-distance races, while Sunday's 10K provides the final stage.
Together, the routes combine urban, rural, coastal and mountain environments, giving runners an opportunity to experience parts of Ibiza away from its traditional summer tourism image.
An International Event
The growing international participation is becoming one of the defining features of 3 Días Trail Ibiza.
With runners from 43 different nationalities already registered, the event attracts competitors from well beyond the Balearic Islands.
The fact that roughly seven in ten participants are travelling from outside the islands also gives the competition an important tourism dimension, bringing visitors to Ibiza during the quieter month of November.
New Runners Make Up a Large Share
Another notable figure is the number of first-time participants.
Around 70% of those currently registered have never taken part in 3 Días Trail Ibiza before.
That suggests the event continues to attract new runners rather than relying primarily on returning participants.
The combination of different distances also makes the event accessible to runners with varying levels of experience, from shorter 10K races to the demanding Ultra.
More Than Just a Race
The organisers also point to the event's inclusive side.
In the previous edition, visually impaired runner Maria Petit completed the accumulated 30-kilometre distance of the three stages alongside Pol Makuri, who was born with hemiparesis and acted as one of her guides.
The organisers say the experience highlighted the event's inclusive character and its aim of making mountain running accessible to a wider range of participants.
November Brings a Different Side of Ibiza
For an island better known internationally for its summer season, an event such as 3 Días Trail Ibiza also offers a different reason to visit in November.
Instead of beaches and nightlife being the main attraction, participants are drawn by Ibiza's countryside, coastline, trails and natural landscapes.
The timing also places the event well outside the island's busiest summer period.
Looking Ahead to November
With registrations already exceeding 1,000, organisers are expecting another strong edition when the event gets underway at the end of November.
The 2026 programme will combine three days of racing, multiple distances and routes across several parts of Ibiza, with Santa Eulalia playing a central role.
For runners, it offers the chance to experience the island from a very different perspective.
And with around 70% of the current field being first-time participants, the event looks set to welcome plenty of new faces alongside returning competitors.
3 Días Trail Ibiza takes place from November 27 to 29, 2026, with Santa Eulalia at the centre of this year's programme.
