Some Ibiza nights are built around a long list of DJs. This Thursday, September 3, Eden Ibiza is doing things differently, handing the entire night to one of trance music’s most recognisable names as Markus Schulz takes control of the club for an all-night-long set.
The German-American DJ and producer returns to Eden for his Open To Close residency, a five-date series running from August 27 through September 24. Rather than moving between multiple headline artists, the concept gives Schulz the freedom to shape the night from beginning to end.
This Thursday’s event begins at 23:45 and continues into the early morning, with Markus Schulz listed as the sole artist on the lineup. Tickets are currently available from €40.
The format gives Schulz the opportunity to explore the full range of his sound, from darker and driving tech-trance influences to the more euphoric side of the genre. His approach has long been associated with a more underground and serious interpretation of trance, making the Open To Close concept particularly suited to a club environment such as Eden.
All-night sets have become increasingly rare on Ibiza, where many of the island’s major parties are built around multiple artists sharing the lineup. Open To Close instead places the emphasis on the DJ’s ability to build a complete musical journey, allowing the atmosphere to develop gradually rather than switching between different performers throughout the night.
The residency is also part of Eden Ibiza’s wider 2026 programme, which continues to position the San Antonio club as an important destination for electronic music. Eden’s current Thursday schedule lists Markus Schulz’s Open To Close as its regular Thursday concept, with the five-week run continuing through September.
For this Thursday’s session, the event is strictly 18+, while guests should bring valid identification. Eden’s late-night format means the music continues well beyond midnight, making the party a full Thursday-to-Friday clubbing experience.
With no competing headliner sharing the spotlight, Markus Schulz has the entire night to himself at Eden Ibiza this Thursday. For trance fans looking for a deeper, longer and more focused journey through the genre, Open To Close offers a rare chance to experience one of the scene’s established names from the first track to the final moments of the night.
