Global Underground will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Ibiza with a two-day programme spanning 528 Ibiza and Café del Mar at the beginning of October.

The electronic music label and mix series will host its main event at 528 Ibiza on Thursday, October 1, followed by a second, sunset-focused date at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni on Friday, October 2.

The celebration is being organised in collaboration with 909 and WAV Liverpool.

October 1 at 528 Ibiza

The first event takes place at 528 Ibiza on Thursday, October 1, running from 17:00 until 04:00.

The programme begins in the venue's Garden, with Deep Dish and Guy J, before moving into the 528 Club from 23:00.

The indoor lineup features Dave Seaman, James Zabiela and Patrice Bäumel.

The official 528 Ibiza listing currently confirms all five artists and the event's 17:00 to 04:00 schedule. The venue lists the Garden programme from 16:00 to 23:00 and the Club from 23:00 until close.

Deep Dish return to the Global Underground story

Deep Dish's appearance is particularly relevant to the anniversary celebration.

The duo of Ali Shirazinia, also known as Dubfire, and Sharam returned to the Global Underground series in 2026 with GU49: Dublin.

Their history with the label goes back more than two decades, including GU21: Moscow and GU25: Toronto.

Their return to the series forms part of Global Underground's wider 30th anniversary programme.

Guy J joins the outdoor programme

Deep Dish will be joined in the Garden by Guy J.

The Israeli progressive house artist is also part of the Global Underground catalogue, having been featured on GU48: Córdoba.

His set will form part of the opening outdoor programme at 528 before the event moves indoors later in the night.

Dave Seaman, James Zabiela and Patrice Bäumel take over the Club

From 23:00, the event moves into the 528 Club.

Dave Seaman, James Zabiela and Patrice Bäumel will provide the late-night programme.

All three artists have longstanding connections with the Global Underground series, making the October 1 lineup closely tied to the label's history rather than simply a collection of guest DJs.

The official venue listing confirms the three artists for the Club programme.

A second night at Café del Mar

The anniversary celebration now continues on Friday, October 2 at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni.

The event is scheduled to begin at 18:00, placing sunset at the centre of the second day's programme.

Lloyd Barwood is currently confirmed for the Café del Mar date, with additional artists still to be announced.

The announcement says the music will continue from the sunset session into the evening at the venue.

One ticket for the two-day celebration

According to the event announcement, the same ticket provides access to both dates.

That means visitors attending the October 1 event at 528 Ibiza can also attend the October 2 celebration at Café del Mar.

The two venues offer very different settings, moving from the open-air surroundings of the Benimussa Hills to the west coast of Ibiza for the second evening.

Thirty years of Global Underground

Global Underground officially launched in November 1996 with Tony de Vit and a release based on his set in Tel Aviv.

Over the following three decades, the label developed its distinctive City Series, connecting leading DJs with recordings inspired by performances in cities and clubbing destinations around the world.

Its catalogue has included artists such as Sasha, Deep Dish, Dave Seaman, Patrice Bäumel, Paul Oakenfold and others, helping establish the series as a long-running part of electronic music culture.

The anniversary is also being marked with a new release titled THIRTY, featuring 30 new exclusive tracks from 30 artists. Global Underground currently lists the album for release on October 16, 2026.

An Ibiza celebration with a historic connection

Global Underground and Ibiza have a long connection, with the label's history including releases inspired by performances on the island.

The October event brings that connection into a contemporary Ibiza setting while also linking it to the label's 30th anniversary.

For visitors, the format offers two very different parts of the island's electronic music culture within consecutive days.
