West African DJ and producer AMÉMÉ has released his latest track, “Chulo”, following the completion of One Tribe's first dedicated Ibiza residency at Cova Santa.

Released on 18 September 2026 through Altra Moda Music, the Afro House track arrives less than a month after the final night of the five-date residency, which ran throughout July and August.

The release connects two important parts of AMÉMÉ's 2026 Ibiza season: his new music and the first extended island residency for the One Tribe project.

Chulo arrives after the Ibiza summer

“Chulo” was officially released on 18 September.

The track had already featured in AMÉMÉ's DJ sets before its release, according to the announcement surrounding the single.

It is listed as an Afro House release, with a running time of 2 minutes and 42 seconds and a tempo of 124 BPM.

The release gives listeners a studio version of a track that had already been part of AMÉMÉ's performances during the summer.

One Tribe's first dedicated Ibiza residency

The release follows One Tribe's first extended residency on the island.

AMÉMÉ Presents One Tribe took over Cova Santa for five Thursday dates between 30 July and 27 August 2026.

The published schedule shows each event beginning at 19:00, with the music continuing until late.

The residency brought AMÉMÉ together with a changing selection of artists across the five dates.

Five Thursdays at Cova Santa

The opening event on 30 July featured AMÉMÉ alongside Jamiie, KILIMANJARO, LP Giobbi, Nenahalena and Yung Omz.

The 6 August date included HoneyLuv, Nenahalena, Rockin Morrocin and Shamiso B2B Aniko.

On 13 August, the lineup featured Awen, Benja B2B Franc Fala, Da Capo and Nenahalena.

The 20 August programme brought together AMÉMÉ, Kasango, Lazare B2B Meloko, Nenahalena and Vanco.

The residency concluded on 27 August with Cincity B2B Philou Louzolo, Coco & Breezy, Kitty Amor and Nenahalena alongside AMÉMÉ.

A new Ibiza chapter for One Tribe

One Tribe was originally launched as a party series in Brooklyn in 2017.

The project subsequently expanded into a broader platform incorporating music, art and fashion, with the One Tribe name becoming closely connected to AMÉMÉ's approach to Afro House and community.

The Cova Santa residency represented the project's first five-date Ibiza residency.

Before the 2026 residency, One Tribe had already presented events and showcases in other international cities, including Amsterdam, Berlin, London and New York.

From Benin to the international electronic scene

AMÉMÉ, whose real name is Hubert Sodogandji, was born in Benin and later developed his career through different international music scenes.

His musical identity incorporates Afro House, tribal percussion and deep house, with his background in Benin forming an important part of the story surrounding his work.

According to published biographical material, he founded One Tribe in Brooklyn in 2017 with a focus on connecting people through Afro House.

Building One Tribe around community

The idea of community is central to One Tribe's identity.

Rather than functioning solely as a party brand, the project has developed into a platform for music and artists, with the Ibiza residency providing an opportunity to bring that concept to a regular island audience.

AMÉMÉ has described community as an important part of how he developed his own career and how he approaches the artists invited to perform under the One Tribe banner.

A summer of international performances

The Cova Santa residency formed part of a wider 2026 schedule for AMÉMÉ.

During the year, he has performed at events and venues in several international cities, while also making appearances in Ibiza alongside artists including Marco Carola and David Guetta, according to the release material.

His 2026 output has also included “Greece 2000”, released with Baggi and Three Drives in March.

The sound behind Chulo

“Chulo” sits within the Afro House direction that has become central to AMÉMÉ's work.

The track's official release information places it at 124 BPM and classifies it as Afro House.

Its arrival after the Cova Santa residency gives the track a direct connection to a summer in which AMÉMÉ was regularly performing on the island.

One Tribe's Ibiza residency has now concluded

The Cova Santa residency ended on 27 August, meaning the five-date run is now complete.

Cova Santa's current 2026 schedule has moved on to other programming, with One Tribe no longer listed among the venue's upcoming dates.

For AMÉMÉ and One Tribe, the residency marked the completion of their first extended Ibiza chapter.

Chulo continues the story

With “Chulo” now released, AMÉMÉ's Ibiza summer has moved from the dancefloor to the studio.

The track arrived on 18 September, following the final One Tribe event by just over three weeks.

It provides a musical continuation of a summer that brought the One Tribe concept to Cova Santa for five consecutive Thursday nights, connecting AMÉMÉ's latest release with his first dedicated Ibiza residency.
