The Argentine teenager has been transferred to the paediatric ward at Ibiza’s Can Misses Hospital after initially being admitted in critical condition with severe multiple injuries.

The 14-year-old girl who was seriously injured after being hit by a motorcycle in Formentera has left the intensive care unit (ICU) at Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza following a favourable improvement in her condition.

The teenager was transferred to the hospital’s paediatric ward on Thursday, 15 October, according to the Ibiza and Formentera Health Area. She had been admitted to intensive care in critical condition following the accident two days earlier.

The development marks an improvement in her medical condition, although she remains hospitalised and no further details about her recovery have been released.

Accident Near Migjorn Beach

The collision occurred at approximately 20:45 on Tuesday, 13 October, near Es Pins Bungalows in the Migjorn beach area of Formentera.

The girl was hit by a motorcycle in circumstances that were initially reported as unknown. According to information subsequently reported by local broadcaster Ràdio Illa, she was crossing the road behind a bus when the collision occurred.

Emergency medical personnel from SAMU 061 attended the scene and transported her to Formentera Hospital for initial treatment.

Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later evacuated by helicopter to Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza.

Initially Admitted in Critical Condition

The teenager arrived at Can Misses at 22:56 on Tuesday evening with severe multiple injuries, known medically as polytrauma, and was admitted to the ICU.

On Wednesday, 14 October, health authorities confirmed that she remained in critical condition.

By Thursday, her condition had improved sufficiently for her to leave intensive care and continue treatment in the paediatric ward.

No additional medical details have been made public, and her transfer out of intensive care should not be interpreted as confirmation that she has fully recovered.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
