Tomorrowland Brings Its Spirit to Ibiza With “Echoes of Tomorrowland”

The spirit of Tomorrowland travelled from Belgium to Ibiza this summer as Velo and Tomorrowland joined forces for the inaugural “Echoes of Tomorrowland”, bringing music, self-expression and the festival's sense of community to the island.

The event took place on Friday, July 17, at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza and was headlined by Ukrainian house and techno DJ Korolova. The programme also featured a livestream from Tomorrowland's main stage, connecting the Ibiza gathering with the festival in Belgium.

Bringing Tomorrowland to Ibiza

“Echoes of Tomorrowland” was created to extend the atmosphere of Tomorrowland beyond the festival grounds and give music fans in Ibiza a taste of the connection and community associated with the Belgian festival.

The Ibiza event brought together fans, invited media from the UK and Spain, and lifestyle and music creators from around the world.

Rather than simply replicating a festival, the concept focused on the idea that music and dancefloors can bring people together, encouraging guests to express themselves and connect with those around them.

Korolova Headlines the Ibiza Event

The musical highlight came from Korolova, the Ukrainian house and techno DJ who headlined the event.

Her performance formed part of an evening designed around electronic music, community and self-expression, while the livestream from Tomorrowland's main stage created a direct connection between Ibiza and the festival in Belgium.

The event reflected the increasingly international nature of Tomorrowland's audience, with Ibiza providing a natural setting for bringing its culture to one of Europe's best-known electronic music destinations.

The “Ripple Effect” of the Dancefloor

The event was accompanied by new research commissioned by Velo examining how people experience self-expression and connection through music.

The research surveyed 2,009 adult nicotine users across the UK, Spain, Pakistan, Poland and Austria between June 16 and June 22, 2026.

According to the findings, 61% of respondents said they feel more comfortable expressing themselves when they see other people doing the same.

The research also found that 30% said the dancefloor is where they feel most able to express themselves authentically, while 27% of respondents aged 25 to 35 said friendships formed at festivals or on dancefloors can feel deeper and more genuine than connections made in traditional social settings.

The brands describe this phenomenon as a “ripple effect”, where one person's confidence to express themselves can encourage others to do the same.

Ibiza and Tomorrowland Share a Global Dance Culture

The collaboration also highlights the close relationship between Ibiza and the wider global electronic music community.

Although Tomorrowland is based in Belgium, its influence extends well beyond its annual festival, while Ibiza remains one of the world's most recognisable destinations for electronic music.

Bringing the two together creates a natural cultural crossover: the festival's distinctive sense of community meeting an island already deeply connected to club culture.

For Ibiza, events such as “Echoes of Tomorrowland” also demonstrate how the island continues to attract international music brands and experiences beyond its traditional club venues.

A New Chapter for Tomorrowland in Ibiza

The inaugural event represents another example of how major music brands are finding new ways to connect with audiences outside traditional festival settings.

With Korolova on the decks, a live connection to Tomorrowland's main stage and an audience brought together in Ibiza, “Echoes of Tomorrowland” created a bridge between Belgium's festival culture and the island's electronic music scene.

The event took place in July, but its message was distinctly global: the dancefloor has no borders.
