Production Process

Harvesting: This takes place during the plant's flowering, which occurs between October and November. This work is done by hand.

Stripping: This task consists of separating, with firm finger pressure, the red stigmas from the rest of the flower, cutting along the style. The recognized different qualities will depend on the amount of red and yellow parts it contains; the more red proportion it contains, the more active ingredients the whole will have.

Toasting: This is perhaps the most important task, consisting of the drying or toasting of the strands separated during stripping.
