PROPERTIES

Kyanite has a hardness of 4.5-6 on the Mohs scale, a laminar crystalline habit and a splintery fracture. Kyanite is characterized by being a mineral of variable hardness. When scratched in a longitudinal direction it has a hardness of 4, while when cut perpendicular to the axis of its laminae the hardness is 6. For this reason, the beads of the bracelet may present "imperfections" and not be completely spherical.

Kyanite is not suitable for contact with water due to its low hardness, so it is best to remove your bracelet before showering or bathing in the pool or sea.
