David Guetta has been crowned the World’s No. 1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll, becoming the first artist in the history of the ranking to claim the title six times.
The French DJ and producer was announced at the Top 100 DJs LIVE event at [UNVRS] Ibiza on Tuesday, October 6, retaining the No. 1 position he held in 2025.
The victory moves Guetta ahead of fellow five-time winners Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren and establishes a new record for the annual public vote.
Six-time World’s No. 1 DJ
Guetta first topped DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll in 2011.
His subsequent victories came during a period of renewed dominance in the early 2020s, with wins in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025 before his latest triumph in 2026.
The sixth title makes Guetta the most successful artist in the history of the poll in terms of No. 1 finishes.
Another record-breaking year
The latest award arrives after another exceptionally active year for the French artist.
DJ Mag reports that Guetta generated another five billion streams during the past year and became the first electronic artist to reach 22 No. 1s on the US Dance Airplay chart.
His music output has remained diverse, with releases spanning pop, dance, Future Rave and more experimental electronic styles.
Among his major projects in 2026 was the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, created with Andrea Bocelli, EJAE and Megan Thee Stallion.
He also released “Save Me Tonight” with Jennifer Lopez and continued collaborations with artists including Hypaton, Afrojack, Illenium, Sia and HUGEL.
Two Ibiza residencies
Ibiza once again played an important role in Guetta's year.
The DJ returned to [UNVRS] Ibiza for a second season of his Galactic Circus residency, while also continuing F* ME I'M FAMOUS!** at Ushuaïa Ibiza.
According to DJ Mag, both residencies sold out faster than ever in 2026.
His connection with Ibiza therefore remained a central part of a career that continues to operate across clubs, festivals, arenas and stadiums.
Men Machine and Future Rave
Guetta has also continued exploring sounds beyond his mainstream productions.
In 2026, he launched Men Machine, a new project with German DJ and producer Marten Hørger drawing on influences including 1990s electroclash, new wave, synth-pop and techno.
He also continued developing Future Rave, his project with MORTEN, releasing new material while working with a broad range of collaborators.
The diversity of those projects reflects Guetta's continued interest in moving between different areas of electronic music rather than remaining tied to a single sound.
The Monolith goes global
Alongside his club residencies, Guetta has continued taking his large-scale Monolith show to major venues and festivals.
The production has appeared at destinations including Red Rocks and Coachella, as well as major arenas and stadiums across Europe.
DJ Mag also highlights his three sold-out Stade de France shows in 2025, which moved more than 240,000 tickets combined, demonstrating the scale of his live operation.
His Monolith project is set to continue expanding, with Guetta scheduled to bring the show to London's O2 in summer 2027.
A changing Top 100
Guetta's record comes during a year of considerable movement further down the Top 100.
Martin Garrix remains at No. 2, while Anyma made one of the biggest moves in the Top 10, climbing seven places to No. 3.
Alok is No. 4, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike No. 5 and Charlotte de Witte No. 6.
Further down the ranking, Fred again.. climbed 17 places to No. 16, John Summit reached No. 24 after rising 22 places, and Indira Paganotto moved up 10 places to No. 26.
John Summit, Mau P and CHRIS STASSY were the joint Highest Climbers, each rising 22 positions. Josh Baker was the Highest New Entry at No. 40.
The record continues
The 2026 Top 100 DJs result gives Guetta another milestone in a career that has already spanned more than four decades.
At 56, he remains one of the most commercially successful electronic artists in the world while continuing to release new music, perform globally and develop new creative projects.
His latest victory also comes 15 years after he first reached the top of DJ Mag's poll.
David Guetta is now officially a six-time World’s No. 1 DJ, the first artist to reach that milestone in the history of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs.
