Cala de Bou Closes the Season With the 7th CdB Express and Its Famous Rock Train

Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent will mark the end of the summer season this Saturday, October 10, with the seventh edition of the CdB Express, bringing live music, local food, family activities and the famous “rock train” to the area.
The event will run from 13:00 to 20:00, with a train connecting participating bars and restaurants across the neighbourhood. The programme combines 24 musical performances at 13 establishments with food and drinks offered at popular prices.
The Rock Train Returns to Cala de Bou
The CdB Express has become one of the established events within the Festes de Cala de Bou i es Port des Torrent.
During the afternoon, the train will travel between different stops around Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent, linking the participating establishments and the live performances taking place throughout the route.
The format allows visitors and residents to move between different venues while enjoying live music, with the train serving as the connection between the various “stations”.
The event is organised by the Ayuntamiento de Sant Josep de sa Talaia together with Garufa Sound.
24 Live Performances Across 13 Venues
The 2026 edition features 24 performances by artists and groups at 13 bars and establishments in the area.
The programme includes a broad selection of local music, with artists and groups including Calle Boogaloo, Chimichurri, Querencia Flamenco, Groove Garage, Sandy Valey and Doctor Trapero, alongside other performers and itinerant musicians.
Some participating venues will host several performances during the day, helping maintain a continuous musical programme as the train moves around the neighbourhood.
Music, Food and Family Activities
Music is only part of the programme.
Participating establishments will offer drinks accompanied by pinchos at popular prices, adding a gastronomic element to the route.
The day's wider programme also includes live urban art at Hotel Ryans Lolas and activities for children throughout the day at the Parque Infantil.
The combination of music, food and family activities makes the event accessible to a broad audience rather than focusing solely on the live performances.
The Celebration Continues at Caló de s’Oli
The train route will finish at 20:00 at the “station” beside the Auditori Caló de s’Oli.
The music continues there after the train journey, with DJ Javi Box scheduled to perform before Queen Forever Tribute takes the stage at 21:00.
The Queen tribute band will provide the main concert of the evening, extending the celebrations beyond the end of the train route.
The municipal cultural programme lists the Queen Forever Tribute concert separately at Caló de s’Oli, with the wider Cala de Bou festivities continuing through October 20.
A Festival That Connects the Neighbourhood
One of the defining features of the CdB Express is its ability to connect establishments spread across Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent through a single event.
The format was created to bring different parts of the neighbourhood together under one celebration, with music taking place simultaneously at multiple locations.
Previous editions have attracted more than 4,000 people, according to the municipal music programme, although that figure refers to attendance at earlier editions rather than a forecast for 2026.
Cala de Bou's 2026 Season Comes to a Musical Close
The seventh CdB Express forms part of the wider Festes de Cala de Bou i es Port des Torrent, which began on October 2 and continues until October 20 with cultural, sporting, family and musical activities.
For the CdB Express itself, Saturday's programme offers a full afternoon of live music and local food before finishing with an evening concert at Caló de s’Oli.
