ADE 2026 Completes 30th Anniversary Programme with More Than 3,600 Artists Across Amsterdam

08 October 2026

Amsterdam Dance Event has completed the programme for its 30th anniversary edition, with more than 3,600 artists set to perform across Amsterdam from October 21 to 25, 2026.

The landmark edition will bring together more than 1,300 events at over 300 venues across the Dutch capital, spanning the ADE Festival, ADE Pro Conference and ADE Arts & Culture programme.

The final programme adds another wave of international DJs, producers, live acts and cultural projects to what is already one of the largest electronic music gatherings of the year.

30 years of Amsterdam Dance Event

The 2026 edition marks three decades since ADE began in 1996.

What started with 300 professional delegates and three nighttime venues has developed into a global gathering covering music, nightlife, business, technology, art and culture.

ADE is using the 30th anniversary to look back at the people and movements that shaped electronic music while also focusing on its future.

More than 3,600 artists

The final programme features more than 3,600 artists across the five-day event.

The latest additions include names such as Amelie Lens, Armand Van Helden, Boys Noize, KI/KI, Jamie Jones, Job Jobse, Len Faki, Mama Snake, Martin Garrix, Mau P, Pete Tong, Speedy J, SHERELLE and Marlon Hoffstadt.

Jean-Michel Jarre is also joining ADE as its 2026 Guest of Honour, bringing another major connection between the history of electronic music and the contemporary scene.

The programme covers a broad range of electronic styles, from house and techno to experimental, trance, bass, electro and more underground sounds.

ADE takes over more than 300 venues

The scale of ADE extends well beyond traditional nightclubs.

More than 300 venues across Amsterdam will participate, with events taking place in clubs, concert halls, museums, churches, record stores, cultural institutions and other unconventional locations.

The final programme includes more than 1,300 individual events, creating a city-wide programme rather than a single festival site.

For visitors, that means ADE can be experienced in very different ways throughout the city, from major club nights and warehouse events to daytime talks, exhibitions and audiovisual installations.

Jean-Michel Jarre becomes Guest of Honour

One of the major anniversary highlights is the involvement of Jean-Michel Jarre.

The electronic music pioneer has been named ADE's Guest of Honour and will appear across several parts of the programme.

His Amsterdam visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of his landmark album Oxygène. He will present an immersive concert at AFAS Live, take part in an ADE Pro keynote interview and appear in other programme events during the week.

His involvement creates a direct connection between ADE's 30-year history and the wider development of electronic music over the past five decades.

The Icon Series looks back while moving forward

The 30th anniversary programme also includes ADE's Icon Series, bringing together artists, institutions and cultural projects connected to electronic music history.

One of the highlights is Boris Acket's large-scale installation EINDER, featuring performances involving the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Elias Mazian.

Another major project is “Swan Lake Remixed for ADE”, which combines the Dutch National Ballet with ISH Dance Collective at the Gashouder.

The programme also includes audiovisual projects at locations including Fabrique des Lumières and ARTIS, demonstrating how electronic music can move beyond the traditional club environment.

ADE Pro looks back at three decades

The anniversary is also being explored through ADE Pro.

A dedicated “30 Years of ADE” session will bring together key figures from the event's history to discuss how ADE developed from a relatively small industry gathering into a global electronic music institution.

The discussion will feature figures including Anna Knaup, Maria Jimenez, Richard Zijlma, Jan-Willem van de Ven and Gary Smith, moderated by Dave Clarke.

ADE Pro remains the business and professional side of the event, covering topics relevant to artists, labels, managers, promoters, technology companies and the wider music industry.

Arts and Culture across Amsterdam

ADE Arts & Culture will once again take electronic music into museums, cultural venues and unexpected spaces around the city.

The 2026 programme includes “DISCO I'm coming out” at Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, Slimfit's hybrid live performances at Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder and Thomas Azier presenting “PANORAMA” at raam art space.

Colin Benders and Othernode will also present a live audiovisual performance at Fabrique des Lumières as part of the Dome Concerts programme.

The Culture Hub will return to Felix Meritis on ADE Saturday, with MC Culture at its centre and a programme exploring the role of the microphone, storytelling and community in electronic music culture.

Five days and nights of electronic music

ADE 2026 runs from Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25.

The ADE Festival will occupy five days and nights, with more than 300 venues hosting the programme across Amsterdam.

Alongside the nightlife programme, ADE Pro, ADE Lab and Arts & Culture create daytime options for visitors interested in the business, creative and technological sides of electronic music.

ADE Lab also includes a free ADE Lab Discovery programme from Wednesday to Friday, with sessions, equipment demonstrations, cultural experiences and opportunities for people interested in electronic music to connect and learn.
