Santa Eulària Announces Nine Free Storytelling Sessions for Autumn 2026

12 October 2026

Santa Eulària des Riu is bringing storytelling to libraries and cultural centres across the municipality this autumn, with nine free sessions scheduled between October 16 and December 10. The programme, called Contes de Tardor, aims to encourage reading among children while giving families opportunities to enjoy live storytelling close to home.

Organised by Santa Eulària Town Hall, the programme includes eight sessions for children aged three and above and their families, alongside one session for older audiences aged 16 and over. All activities are free, and no advance registration is required.

Children’s sessions begin at 17:00, while the adult storytelling session starts at 20:00.

October Storytelling Programme

The programme opens on Friday, October 16, at the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària with Dora i la Cua Perduda, presented by Idam Kids Ibiza.

The next session takes place on Wednesday, October 21, at the Centre Cultural des Puig d’en Valls, where Encarna de las Heras will present De verdad de la buena.

On Tuesday, October 27, David i Monma will bring El col·leccionista de rondalles to the public library at CEIP Santa Gertrudis.

November Sessions Across the Municipality

The programme continues on Monday, November 9, at the Centre Cultural de Jesús with La gallineta vermella, performed by Myotragus Teatre. The company will present the same show again on Thursday, November 12, at the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària.

On Friday, November 20, David i Monma will present Ikigai, la teva raó de ser at the public library at CEIP Sant Carles.

Two further children's sessions will include sign-language interpretation, thanks to the collaboration of the Federació de Persones Sordes de les Illes Balears.

The first takes place on Thursday, November 26, at the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària, featuring Ranas, princesas y algún príncipe despistado, presented by Maritza TejeCuentos.

December Finale with Accessible Storytelling

The children's programme concludes on Thursday, December 10, at the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària with Zafira la ayudanta de los Reyes Magos, performed by Sonrisas Mágicas. This session will also include sign-language interpretation.

Later that evening, at 20:00, the library will host Historias vividas, presented by Milagros Pierna. This final storytelling session is intended for audiences aged 16 and above.

Bringing Stories Closer to Local Families

By taking storytelling into libraries and cultural centres in different parts of the municipality, Contes de Tardor makes cultural activities accessible to families without the cost of admission or the need to book in advance.

The inclusion of sign-language interpretation in two sessions also helps extend the programme to children and families who benefit from more accessible cultural activities.

With nine sessions spanning nearly two months, the autumn programme offers a varied selection of stories and performances while encouraging younger audiences to discover the pleasure of reading and oral storytelling.
