Marina Ibiza brought a taste of Bavaria to the island in October 2026, hosting its annual Oktoberfest celebration in partnership with Michl Marine. The three-day event combined traditional German cuisine, music, games and family activities, attracting approximately 1,200 attendees as the yachting season drew to a close.
The celebration transformed part of the marina into a Bavarian-inspired gathering space, bringing together local residents, families and members of the island's maritime community for a weekend of food and entertainment.
Three Days of Bavarian Food and Music
Friday and Saturday focused on evening entertainment, with a DJ mixing traditional German music with hits from the 1990s and contemporary chart favourites.
The music encouraged guests to dance and sing along, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the evening sessions. On Sunday, the programme shifted towards families, with activities designed to appeal to younger visitors as well as adults.
Traditional German food was another central feature. The menu included German sausages, chicken, roast pork knuckle, pretzels and sauerkraut, bringing familiar Bavarian dishes to the waterfront setting.
The combination of themed surroundings, food and music gave visitors the opportunity to experience elements of Germany's Oktoberfest tradition without leaving Ibiza.
Traditional Games and New Activities
The games area remained one of the main attractions, offering activities for visitors of different ages.
Alongside darts and tin-can alley, this year's programme introduced a ring-a-duck game. The traditional Hau den Lukas, in which participants test their strength using a hammer and a high-striker machine, also returned.
The activities encouraged friendly competition and added an interactive element to the event, complementing the food and music programme.
Sunday's family-focused activities helped extend the celebration beyond the evening parties, making the marina a gathering place for different generations.
Marina Ibiza and Michl Marine Bring the Community Together
Marina Ibiza organised the celebration in partnership with Michl Marine, with support from 17 corporate sponsors.
According to Marina Ibiza, approximately 1,200 people attended this year's event. The marina also reported an increase in corporate sponsorship compared with the previous year.
The celebration has become part of the marina's autumn programme, offering a social gathering as the island moves towards the quieter winter months. Its combination of German traditions and Ibiza's waterfront setting connects the marina's international yachting community with local residents and families.
Oktoberfest Becomes Part of Ibiza's Autumn Calendar
Although Oktoberfest originated in Munich, similar celebrations have become popular in destinations around the world. Marina Ibiza's version adapts the tradition to the island, combining Bavarian food, themed entertainment and games in a Mediterranean marina setting.
The latest celebration continued this approach, bringing together dining, music and family activities over three days.
With approximately 1,200 attendees and support from 17 corporate sponsors, the event once again formed part of Marina Ibiza's seasonal programme, providing a social gathering as the main boating season comes to an end.
