Friday, October 30, 2026 Ibiza and Formentera Events: Halloween Festival, HIC Summit, Family Activities, Cinema and Club Closing Parties

Published on October 30, 2026 at 11:41 AM

Friday, October 30, brings Halloween celebrations, independent cinema, family workshops, sustainability activities and late-season nightlife to Ibiza and Formentera. Ibiza Town continues its international horror and fantasy film festival, while the final day of HIC Summit explores tourism, education, sustainability and the future of the island.

Families can choose from Halloween-themed activities in several municipalities, including games and crafts in Ibiza Town, a tunnel of terror in Sant Antoni and creative workshops in Sant Josep. Meanwhile, Formentera offers a local market, a contemporary art exhibition and an evening cinema screening.

There is also an important change to the weekend's gastronomic programme. Santa Eulària has postponed both the Fireta des Calamar, originally scheduled for Friday, and the X Fira Gastronòmica des Calamar on Saturday. Visitors should not travel to these events expecting them to take place on their original dates.

Here is the programme for Friday, October 30, 2026, including cultural visits, community events, family activities, bookable excursions, live music and nightlife.

Weather, government announcements and public information

Weather forecast and outdoor safety

AEMET's current forecast indicates unsettled conditions for Friday, with cloudy periods and the possibility of light rain. Ibiza has a risk of showers or thunderstorms during the afternoon, while Formentera's forecast also includes rain.

This is particularly relevant to visitors planning boat trips, kayaking, sunset excursions and outdoor family activities. Confirm the weather and operating status directly with each provider before travelling. A scheduled departure does not guarantee that an excursion will operate.

The heavy rainfall that affected the islands earlier in October remains relevant to route planning, but the end of the emergency phase does not establish that every road or coastal access point has returned to normal.

Fireta des Calamar and X Fira des Calamar postponed

The Ajuntament de Santa Eulària des Riu has postponed two important events originally scheduled for the end of October.

The Fireta des Calamar, planned for Friday, October 30, was due to introduce an afternoon of tapas and live music in Sant Carles de Peralta. The tenth edition of the X Fira Gastronòmica des Calamar was scheduled for Saturday, October 31.

Both events have been postponed in response to the three days of national mourning declared following the railway accident in Urda, Toledo. The council says new dates will be announced later.

Anyone planning a visit to Sant Carles specifically for the squid-themed gastronomic events should wait for the revised programme. The postponement notice does not, by itself, establish that every other activity in the village or wider municipality has been cancelled.

Official mourning period in Spain

The Spanish Government declared three days of official mourning, running from midnight on Wednesday, October 28, through midnight on Saturday, October 31.

The announcement followed the fatal railway accident in Urda, Toledo. The national period of mourning is important context for the postponement of Santa Eulària's gastronomic events and for checking individual organisers' latest notices before attending public celebrations.

Municipal cemetery arrangements for All Saints' Day

Ibiza Town Council has extended cemetery access for the period surrounding All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

The Cementeri Vell and Cementeri Nou are scheduled to remain open continuously from 09:00 to 18:00 on Friday, October 30, and through November 2.

A free special bus service is also scheduled to help residents reach the new cemetery. Departures from Avinguda d'Isidor Macabich are listed at 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Return services from the new cemetery are listed at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:00.

The service has designated stops around Ibiza Town. Residents should check the current municipal notice for stop locations and any operational changes.

Santa Eulària also offers a service to help people who need assistance placing flowers at the cemetery. The service is scheduled from 09:00 to 19:00 on October 29, 30 and 31, and November 1. The published contact number is 669 358 680.

Upcoming road restrictions for the European Triathlon Cup

Residents and visitors planning journeys between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulària should also note a traffic announcement published on Thursday, October 29.

The European Triathlon Cup takes place in Santa Eulària on Sunday, November 1, and temporary road restrictions are expected on the Eivissa to Santa Eulària route, particularly between the junction with the Sant Joan road and the town.

The council's notice identifies several restriction periods during the afternoon, with access arrangements varying by junction. Its summary and detailed text differ on the final time window, so check the latest municipal traffic instructions before driving on Sunday.

The information line published by the council is 681 257 210.

Make the most of Friday in Ibiza and Formentera

Friday, October 30, offers a varied programme that goes far beyond nightlife. Ibiza Town combines free Halloween cinema, family activities, youth programming, contemporary art and practical services for the All Saints' period. Sant Antoni adds a free tunnel of terror and children's workshop, while Sant Josep offers two horror-film screenings, a community repair event and local creative activities.

Formentera provides a quieter alternative with the Sant Francesc market, a final opportunity to see D'aire i argila before it closes, and an evening film screening at the Sala de Cultura.

HIC Summit concludes its three-day programme with discussions focused on education, sustainability and the future of the islands. Later, live music at PaloSanto and several late-season club nights offer further options for Friday evening.

The most important practical point is to check final timings before travelling. The Fireta des Calamar and X Fira des Calamar have been postponed, some film listings disagree about start times, and outdoor excursions remain dependent on actual weather and operator confirmation.
