KIM Leads the XXXVII Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas as Ibiza’s Atlant del Vent Sits Second

October 10, 2026

The 37th Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas got underway on Friday, 9 October 2026, with KIM taking the provisional overall lead after the opening stage between Ibiza and Formentera.

The regatta, organised by Club Náutico Ibiza with main sponsorship from Insotel Hotel Group, Trasmapi and Marina Ibiza, has brought together 31 boats competing across four ORC groups.

KIM, skippered by Yann Lythgoe and representing El Portet de Dénia, leads the published overall standings on a tie-break after finishing the full-course race ahead of Jeffertje 3 and L’Immens.

KIM and Atlant del Vent Tied on Points

After the two scoring sections of the first day, KIM and Atlant del Vent have both accumulated 5.5 points. KIM occupies first place under the published tie-break criteria, while Atlant del Vent, owned by Jaime Serra Verdaguer and skippered by David Tur for Club Náutico Ibiza, is second.

Jeffertje 3, sailed by Carl Bal of Real Club Náutico Calpe, is provisionally third with seven points. L’Immens, skippered by Nicolás Pesich and representing Club Náutico Ibiza, also has seven points and sits fourth.

Adrenalin, represented by Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and skippered by Juan Carlos Sanchis, completes the top five with nine points.

The standings combine two results from Friday: the section to the control point and the full-course race. The scoring system gives the control-point section a coefficient of 0.5 and the full course a coefficient of 1.

Strong Start for Club Náutico Ibiza

The organising club has six boats among the provisional top ten, highlighting its strong presence in the opening standings.

Alongside Atlant del Vent in second and L’Immens in fourth, Flying Cloud is sixth with 11.5 points, Espada Cero seventh with 13.5, Blue Brothers 2 ninth with 15, and Kametimo tenth, also with 15 points.

Espada Cero, owned by Vicente Amengual, achieved the best result in Friday’s first scoring section to the control point. Blue Brothers 2, sailed by Javier Marí Washbourne, finished second in that section, followed by Atlant del Vent.

Saturday’s Stage Heads to Sant Antoni

The competition continues on Saturday, 10 October, with the second stage from Formentera to Sant Antoni. The warning signal is scheduled for 10:00.

The final stage will take place on Sunday, 11 October, with the fleet sailing from Sant Antoni to Ibiza. The event will conclude with the prize-giving ceremony at Restaurant Calma at Marina Ibiza.

A Longstanding Ibiza Sailing Tradition

The Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas are among the established fixtures of the islands’ cruising calendar. The event traces its origins to the Vuelta a Ibiza y Formentera regatta and the Jabeque de Oro and Jabeque de Plata trophies, whose early editions date back to 1974. The competition adopted its current name and format in 1989.

With two stages remaining, KIM and Atlant del Vent are level on points at the top, setting up a closely contested finish across the waters of Ibiza and Formentera.
