Saturday, October 10, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Events: MARNATON, Cala de Bou Express, Mini Open Tennis, Festes del Pilar and More

October 10, 2026

Saturday, October 10, 2026, brings an exciting mix of sport, local celebrations, art, markets, family activities and live music to Ibiza and Formentera. With the islands entering one of the biggest weekends of the clubbing season, there is also plenty happening away from the dance floors.

The day's main highlights include MARNATON eDreams Ibiza's open-water swimming races along the northern coastline, the first stage of the Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo, and the return of the Mini Open Tennis tournament. Cala de Bou takes centre stage in the afternoon with its popular Cala de Bou Express, featuring 24 live music performances across 13 local venues.

Formentera continues its Festes del Pilar and Tardor d'Art programmes, while the 15K Formentera Sunset Run provides an evening sporting highlight. Markets, exhibitions, archaeological tours, boat trips and sunset music round out a day that showcases the many sides of the Pityusic Islands.

And after dark, Saturday becomes one of the defining nights of Ibiza's 2026 closing season, with major events at Ushuaïa Ibiza, [UNVRS], Amnesia, Pacha and other venues.

Sport Takes Centre Stage on Saturday

MARNATON eDreams Ibiza

One of the day's biggest sporting events takes place along Ibiza's northern coast, with three open-water swimming races finishing at Port de Sant Miquel.

MARNATON eDreams Ibiza offers three distances, giving swimmers different ways to experience the island's coastline.

The updated race schedule is:

  • 8K: 10:00 from Cala Xarraca.

  • 4K: 11:30 from es Caló d'en Calders.

  • 2K: 12:30 from Cala Benirràs.

All three routes finish at Playa de Port de Sant Miquel. The organiser's published schedule also lists transfers for the participants and a final arrival around 14:00.

Later, from 18:00 to 23:00, the event continues with the Splash & Blast Sunset Party at Cala San Miguel Resort, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 19:00.

The combination of competitive swimming and a seaside celebration makes MARNATON one of the standout events of the weekend.

Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo

Saturday marks the first main riding stage of the XXIII Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo, the multi-day cycling event running from October 9 to October 12.

Riders gather on Avenida de Santa Eulalia in Ibiza Town at 08:30, with the first stage starting at 09:00. The planned finish is at Passeig de ses Fonts in Sant Antoni at approximately 13:00, followed by a trophy presentation and post-finish gathering from 13:30.

The event takes cyclists through Ibiza's countryside and coastal landscapes, bringing together amateur riders for several days of island exploration.

The second stage takes place on Sunday, October 11, followed by an individual time trial on Monday, October 12.

XXXVII Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas

The 37th Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas also continues on Saturday, with a competitive sailing stage between the waters around Espardell and Espalmador and Sant Antoni.

The warning signal is scheduled for 10:00. The course covers approximately 38.8 nautical miles, making it the longest stage of this year's regatta.

Organised by Club Náutico Ibiza, the event brings together cruising yachts competing under ORC rules and connects Ibiza, Formentera and Sant Antoni over several days of sailing.

Mini Open Tennis Ibiza

Tennis, music and contemporary culture come together at Ibiza Club de Campo in Sant Jordi for the fifth edition of Mini Open Tennis, taking place on Saturday.

The event brings together 32 teams and participants from sport, music, fashion and entertainment. Tennis legend Björn Borg is scheduled to attend to present and sign his autobiography, while former professional players Nicolas Almagro and Pablo Andújar are among the sporting names associated with the event.

The programme combines competition with music and creative collaborations, including appearances connected to the local Homies collective and international electronic music figures.

The event offers another sporting alternative during an especially busy weekend. Attendance arrangements and advance registration should be checked before visiting.

Markets Across Ibiza and Formentera

Saturday is one of the best days of the week for discovering the islands' markets, local crafts and countryside atmosphere.

The Mercadillo de Sant Jordi opens from 08:00, bringing together second-hand items, vintage finds and other goods. It is a popular stop for those exploring the southern part of Ibiza.

In the north, Las Dalias Hippy Market in San Carlos runs from 10:00 to 20:00, offering handmade products, fashion, jewellery, crafts and food.

Forada Market, in the Ibiza countryside, is scheduled from 10:00 to 16:00 and provides another opportunity to discover local produce and independent artisans.

Formentera's Sant Francesc Market operates from 10:00 to 14:00, while the second-hand market at Jardí de Ses Eres opens from 11:00 to 14:00.

Visitors looking for a more traditional shopping experience can also explore the artisan stalls associated with the island's autumn market programme.

Discover Ibiza's Geology and Archaeological Heritage

Saturday offers two particularly interesting cultural activities for visitors who want to explore the island's history beyond its beaches.

II Geological Day of Amunts

The Centre d'Interpretació es Amunts in Sant Llorenç hosts the second Geological Day of Amunts from 10:00 to 12:30.

The free educational programme introduces participants to Ibiza's geological history through the observation of rock samples, an exploration of the temporary exhibition dedicated to women in geology, and a visit to the centre's stratigraphic column.

Advance registration was required, so visitors should check directly with the centre before attempting to attend.

Els Orígens de Dalt Vila

History enthusiasts can also join Els Orígens de Dalt Vila, a guided archaeological heritage route exploring the origins and historical development of Ibiza's fortified old town.

The meeting point is at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza, with the guided visit scheduled to begin at 10:30.

The route provides a different perspective on Dalt Vila, taking visitors beyond the familiar streets and viewpoints to explore the archaeological remains behind one of Ibiza's most important historic areas.

Advance registration is required.

Cala de Bou Express: 24 Live Music Performances

One of Saturday's most distinctive local events is the Cala de Bou Express, returning as part of the Festes de Cala de Bou i es Port des Torrent.

Running from 13:00 to 20:00, the free event features 24 live music performances across 13 bars and establishments around Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent.

Known locally as the rock train, the Cala de Bou Express moves through the neighbourhood, stopping at participating venues where bands and artists perform throughout the afternoon. Visitors can follow the route between different locations, discovering local musicians while enjoying the atmosphere of the festivities.

The event combines live music, socialising and local hospitality, with participating venues serving drinks and traditional pinchos at popular prices.

The afternoon programme finishes at the Auditori Caló de s'Oli, where the evening continues with DJ Javi Box from 19:30 and the Queen Forever Tribute concert at 21:00.

The tribute show celebrates the music of Queen and is free to attend.

For music lovers who want to experience Ibiza's local scene rather than spend the entire day at a superclub, Cala de Bou Express is one of the strongest recommendations on Saturday.

Festes del Pilar in Formentera

Formentera's Festes del Pilar continue on Saturday, bringing local tradition and community activities to El Pilar de la Mola.

The published programme lists Compak Sporting at 09:00 at Can Lluc, organised through the local hunting club as part of the festivities.

The wider celebrations run across October, with more extensive family activities, traditional food, music and entertainment scheduled for Sunday, October 11.

The nearby cultural programme also includes Tardor d'Art, Formentera's autumn art season, which continues from October 5 to 17.

Exhibitions are spread across several spaces in Sant Francesc, including the Centre Antoni Tur 'Gabrielet', Ajuntament Vell and Jardí de Ses Eres. The Cati Verdera exhibition at the Far de la Mola cultural and educational space is also open from 10:00 to 14:00.

For visitors spending Saturday on Formentera, these activities provide a chance to combine the island's traditional villages with contemporary art and local culture.

Family Activities and Outdoor Experiences

Families have several options throughout Saturday, from interactive experiences to nature-based adventures.

BIBO Park in Sant Rafel provides an educational experience centred on Ibiza's natural environment, while Acrobosc Adventure Park in Santa Eulària offers an outdoor adventure setting among the trees.

The Cala Llonga Mini Train is another option for exploring the eastern coastline at a relaxed pace.

Children can also enjoy the Kids Corner at El Náutico Ibiza from 13:00, while selected hotels and beach venues offer day experiences and family-friendly facilities.

For more adventurous visitors, coasteering, quad and buggy excursions and electric motorbike experiences are among the activities available around the island.

Advance reservations are advisable for organised outdoor activities and experiences with limited availability.

Boat Trips and Coastal Adventures

Ibiza's coastline remains a major attraction in October, and Saturday offers several ways to explore it from the water.

The Beach Hop Cruise to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta departs from San Antonio from 11:00, providing an opportunity to discover two of the island's best-known coastal areas.

Captain Nemo's boat trip to Es Vedrà is another option, with departures listed for the late afternoon. Visitors can also look into Ibiza Coves by Day and the various excursions connecting Ibiza and Formentera.

Formentera With Benefits offers a full-day boat experience from Playa d'en Bossa, combining the crossing with a day exploring the neighbouring island.

Those preferring to remain on land can opt for an organic farm visit from 10:30 to 12:00, or explore the island through a guided food tour.

Boat departures, sea conditions and tour availability can change, so checking the latest information with the relevant operator is important.

Afternoon and Sunset in Ibiza

As the afternoon progresses, the island's day experiences give way to sunset sessions, outdoor music and evening entertainment.

Pool Sessions at Las Mimosas begins from 13:00, while Solar Sessions at The Standard Ibiza is listed from 18:00.

A sunset kayak excursion from Portinatx starts at 18:30, offering a more active way to experience the coastline as the light changes.

In San Antonio, Café Mambo's sunset sessions begin from 19:00.

On the western coast, Barahmji and Medusa Odyssey perform at Sunset Cala Conta from 19:00 for the final concert of their 2026 season.

For a more intimate musical setting, Sunset Vinyl takes place at Sun & Moon in Cala Llonga from 20:00.

Formentera Sunset Run

Formentera's sporting programme continues into the evening with the third edition of the 15K Formentera Sunset Run.

The race begins at 18:00 in Es Pujols, with both 15K and 5K distances available. The route starts and finishes in the resort.

The event combines sport and tourism while encouraging awareness of Formentera's natural environment and supporting the Save Posidonia initiative.

For visitors who prefer an active evening to a traditional night out, it is one of the day's most distinctive experiences.

Starry Night in Ibiza

Once darkness arrives, the Noche de estrellas astronomy activity offers another way to experience Ibiza's natural environment.

The programme is listed in the Cala d'Hort area, away from the brighter resort centres, providing an opportunity to observe the night sky.

The activity requires registration, and visitors should confirm the meeting point and arrangements before travelling.

It offers an appealing alternative for anyone interested in astronomy, landscape and the quieter side of the island.

Live Music and Evening Culture

Saturday's live music programme extends well beyond Cala de Bou Express.

At Can Jordi Blues Station, The Soul Connectors perform from 13:00 to 15:00, bringing their full band back to one of Sant Josep's familiar live-music venues.

In Cala de Bou, The 3 Wise Monkeys play rock and roll at El Kiosko from 14:00 to 16:00.

At Sunset Cala Conta, Barahmji and Medusa Odyssey perform from 19:00 to 21:00, while the Irish music group The Moonshine Trio plays at Racó Verd from 20:00 to 22:00.

Ibiza Town also offers a cultural option with Better Not Say It, a theatre performance scheduled at Can Ventosa from 20:00.

These events highlight the range of music and performance available across the island during the closing weekend, from blues and rock to theatre and sunset concerts.

Formentera adds its own mix of tradition, art and sport, culminating in the 15K Sunset Run. Ibiza's sunset venues and live music performances then create a varied evening programme before the island's biggest clubs take over.

The closing parties may attract much of the attention this weekend, but Saturday is also an excellent opportunity to discover the local communities, sporting traditions, cultural spaces and landscapes that make the Pityusic Islands special.
