African electronic music takes centre stage in Ibiza this Friday, September 4, as South African duo Major League DJz return to Chinois Ibiza with their Echoes of Tomorrow residency.
The Friday series places Afro House, deep rhythms and contemporary African electronic sounds at the heart of the night, with Major League DJz headlining throughout the residency. For this Friday’s edition, they are joined by Bun Xapa, Coco & Breezy and Amòun:ka. The party begins at 23:30 and continues until 06:30.
Major League DJz have made their mark internationally with a sound rooted in South Africa’s electronic music culture, while Echoes of Tomorrow takes that foundation and brings it to an Ibiza dancefloor. The concept also uses the Mask of Africa as a central symbol, reflecting the party’s emphasis on African heritage, identity and musical connection.
This Friday’s supporting lineup adds several different perspectives to the evening. Bun Xapa joins the brothers Major League DJz, while Coco & Breezy and Amòun:ka add further house and electronic influences to the programme.
The residency is one of Chinois Ibiza’s key Friday nights for the 2026 season, running every Friday from May 29 through October 9. The Marina Botafoch club has become known for its more intimate atmosphere and music-focused programming, offering an alternative to Ibiza’s enormous superclubs.
Chinois is located within the Ibiza Gran Hotel in the heart of Ibiza Marina, and its smaller scale allows the music and dancefloor atmosphere to remain at the centre of the experience. The venue's distinctive Asian-inspired interior also gives Echoes of Tomorrow a very different setting from a conventional open-air Ibiza party.
Tickets for this Friday are currently available from €35, according to Clubtickets, with entry starting at 23:30. The event is strictly 18+, valid original identification is required and there is no re-entry once guests leave the venue.
Echoes of Tomorrow continues throughout September, with Major League DJz joined by Mahmut Orhan on September 11, Djeff B2B Fiona Kraft on September 18 and Andrea Oliva alongside Antdot on September 25. The residency continues into October, with the closing party scheduled for October 9.
