Behind the golden mask, Claptone returns to Chinois Ibiza this Saturday, September 5, for another edition of The Masquerade, bringing Elderbrook, Tony Cortez and Shir Khan together for a late-night session in the Ibiza Marina.
The party starts at 23:30 and continues until 06:30, with Claptone leading the lineup alongside Elderbrook in DJ set mode, Tony Cortez and Shir Khan. Tickets are currently available from €35, although Clubtickets is showing fewer than 50 tickets remaining across its current ticket categories.
The September 5 lineup gives The Masquerade a particularly interesting mix. Elderbrook brings his distinctive connection between electronic music and live performance to the bill, while Tony Cortez and Shir Khan add further depth to a night centred around house and electronic sounds.
Claptone's The Masquerade has become closely associated with mystery, theatrical presentation and a sophisticated club atmosphere. The concept is built around the artist's instantly recognisable golden mask, with costumed dancers, elaborate decoration and a visual world inspired by the opulence and intrigue of a masked ball.
For 2026, The Masquerade has returned to Chinois for a second season, extending its run to 22 consecutive Saturdays from May 16 through October 10. The residency has also developed a reputation for carefully selected guest DJs alongside Claptone, with the wider season featuring names including Pete Tong, Nora En Pure, Inner City, Hannah Wants B2B Paul Woolford and Franky Wah.
Chinois provides a fitting setting for the concept. Located in Ibiza Marina, the club was designed around the atmosphere of the glamorous jazz clubs of 1930s Shanghai, combining elaborate interiors with contemporary sound and production. The venue has established itself as one of Ibiza's more intimate alternatives to the island's huge superclubs.
The September 5 date is part of the final stretch of The Masquerade's 2026 season. After this Saturday, Claptone returns on September 12 with Hannah Wants B2B Paul Woolford and Chus & Ceballos, followed by Pete Tong on September 19, Inner City on September 26, Nora En Pure on October 3 and the October 10 closing party with Franky Wah.
Chinois is strictly 18+, and guests must bring original valid identification. There is no re-entry once inside. The venue also operates a classy-casual dress code, with gentlemen asked to wear long trousers, while sportswear and open shoes are not permitted.
With Claptone at the centre of the night and Elderbrook, Tony Cortez and Shir Khan completing the September 5 lineup, The Masquerade offers another Saturday of deep house, mystery and theatrical clubbing at Chinois Ibiza.
