A technology company based in Ibiza says an artificial intelligence system developed in-house is now handling around 60% of the tasks associated with an administrative position, alongside other automation tools. Called Tisa Nexus, the system processes business emails, retrieves information from company records and prepares documents for employee approval.
TISA Internacional is presenting the technology at the Ibiza Innovation Summit on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza. The company says the system has been operating since April and is designed to reduce repetitive office work without removing human oversight from decisions that have financial or operational consequences.
The reported results come from TISA's own operations. The company has not published an independent assessment of the system's productivity impact or quantified the financial savings achieved.
Almost 2,000 Emails Processed and 71 Documents Prepared
TISA began measuring the system's activity in greater detail in June. According to figures supplied by the company, Nexus has since read and classified almost 2,000 emails received by its administration department, processing each message in approximately two seconds.
The company says around seven in every ten emails require no further action and can be automatically filtered. For other messages, the system may prepare a reply, retrieve information or assign a task to a member of staff.
The reported activity also includes:
-
71 draft business documents, including purchase and sales invoices, quotations and orders.
-
Approximately 190 draft emails awaiting review.
-
177 tasks opened for different team members.
These documents and messages are prepared for review rather than automatically authorised. Employees remain responsible for checking and approving actions that affect the business.
According to Juan Carlos Tur Marí, TISA's project manager, the introduction of Nexus and related automation tools has changed how the company's administrative workload is distributed. The company estimates that these systems now handle approximately 60% of the tasks associated with the administrative position, with the remaining work redistributed among other employees.
The figure describes TISA's internal experience and should not be interpreted as a general measure of how much administrative work AI can automate in other businesses.
How Tisa Nexus Works With Business Management Software
Unlike a conventional chatbot that primarily answers questions or drafts text, Tisa Nexus is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the enterprise management software used by TISA.
The integration allows the system to work with existing business information and prepare actions linked to records such as customers, invoices, quotations and orders.
Employees can interact with the system through email, Microsoft Teams or chat, asking it to retrieve information or prepare administrative work without manually navigating every section of the management software.
The objective is to automate repetitive processes while leaving tasks that require judgement, approval or direct human intervention with the appropriate employee.
TISA says the system is intended to address a particular challenge for smaller businesses in Ibiza, where limited office teams can face substantial administrative workloads, particularly during the busy tourist season.
AI Also Being Introduced at a Medical Centre in Ibiza
TISA is extending the technology beyond its own offices.
The company says it is working on an implementation of Nexus at a local accountancy firm, although that project has not yet been completed.
A simplified version, called Nexus Light, has reportedly been operating at a medical centre in Ibiza since August. This version reads supplier invoices received by email and organises the information for the centre's accountant, reducing the need to enter the data manually.
The medical-centre application is more limited than the system integrated with Business Central. It focuses on processing invoice information rather than automating a broader range of business-management tasks.
These implementations illustrate how AI tools can be applied to specific administrative processes. However, the extent of the benefits will depend on the quality of the information available, the way each system is integrated and the checks used to prevent errors.
Human Approval and Data Security
Giving AI access to financial records and customer information creates risks, particularly if a system is allowed to make changes or communicate externally without appropriate safeguards.
TISA says Nexus prepares actions but does not independently register invoices, confirm orders or send external communications without human authorisation. Documents and proposed operations remain drafts until an authorised employee reviews and approves them.
The company also describes several measures intended to reduce errors and improve traceability. These include using a second AI model to review certain outputs, checking information against business records, applying access controls and maintaining an audit history of operations.
TISA further states that its business data is stored on its own servers and that information sent to the language-model provider is not used to train the model.
These are the company's descriptions of its technical and security arrangements. Their effectiveness has not been independently verified for this report.
Ibiza Innovation Summit Showcases Local Technology
Tisa Nexus is being presented at the Ibiza Innovation Summit, held at the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza on 28 October.
The event brings together technology businesses and innovation projects working in areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, sustainability, engineering and digital services. It is organised by Fundació Bit and the Ibiza and Formentera Chamber of Commerce, through the Innobal Office, with support from the Ibiza Island Council.
The summit aims to connect local businesses with technological solutions developed or implemented in the islands and encourage collaboration between companies and institutions.
For TISA, Nexus provides an example of how AI can be integrated into existing business systems to handle repetitive tasks rather than being used only as a general-purpose writing or question-answering assistant.
The company's experience offers a practical case study in business automation in Ibiza, although independent evaluation will be needed to establish the scale of its productivity gains and whether comparable results can be achieved elsewhere.
