Dalt Vila has been named the most photographed location in Ibiza, according to a new analysis of millions of holiday photographs uploaded during 2025.

The ranking, compiled using data from photo-book platform Popsa, places Ibiza's historic old town comfortably at number one, while several of the island's most famous beaches and nightlife locations also feature prominently.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is Es Vedrà, which has fallen to tenth place.

Dalt Vila Takes the Top Spot

Dalt Vila received a photo index score of 100, making it the benchmark for the entire ranking.

Ibiza's UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town combines historic fortifications, narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings and elevated views across the Mediterranean, making it one of the island's most recognisable photographic locations.

Its position at the top also highlights the importance of Ibiza's cultural and historic heritage alongside its beaches and nightlife.

Sant Antoni Takes Two Places in the Top Four

Sant Antoni de Portmany features twice in the ranking.

The Paseo Marítimo comes second with an index score of 48, just one point ahead of Platja d'en Bossa.

The waterfront promenade follows the curve of Sant Antoni's bay and is particularly associated with its harbour, beaches, sunset views and lively atmosphere.

Ses Variades, better known as Ibiza's Sunset Strip, takes fourth place with a score of 45.

The coastline is closely associated with the island's famous sunset culture and venues such as Café del Mar and Café Mambo, making it a natural favourite for photographs.

Platja d'en Bossa Ranks Third

Platja d'en Bossa takes third place with a score of 47.

The long beach combines Mediterranean scenery with one of Ibiza's biggest concentrations of nightlife, including Ushuaïa Ibiza and nearby Hï Ibiza.

The location's combination of beach, music and nightlife makes it one of the island's most frequently photographed areas.

The ranking also reflects how Ibiza's contemporary club culture has become part of the visual identity of the destination.

Cala Comte Leads Ibiza's Beaches

Cala Comte is the fifth most photographed place on the island, scoring 43.

Its turquoise water, sandy coves and views towards Ibiza's western islets make it particularly popular with photographers, especially around sunset.

The beach is followed by Cala Tarida in sixth place, with a score of 26.

Cala Tarida's broad sandy beach, clear shallow water and pine-covered surroundings provide a noticeably different setting from the island's more nightlife-focused destinations.

Cala Bassa and Ses Salines Also Feature

Cala Bassa ranks seventh with a score of 21.

The sheltered bay is known for its clear turquoise water, golden sand and surrounding pine and juniper woodland.

Ses Salines follows in eighth place with a score of 20. Located within the protected Ses Salines Natural Park, the beach combines dunes, pine forest, salt flats and views towards the islets of Es Freus and Formentera.

Together, the two locations reinforce the importance of Ibiza's protected coastal landscapes in the island's photographic appeal.

Cala Jondal Makes the Top Ten

Cala Jondal takes ninth position with a score of 17.

The south-coast destination is distinctive for its white pebbles, wooden bathing platforms and intensely blue water.

Its association with the island's luxury scene also contributes to its popularity, with superyachts often anchoring offshore and venues such as Blue Marlin and Casa Jondal adding to the area's visual identity.

Es Vedrà Falls to Tenth

The biggest surprise in the ranking is Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell.

One of Ibiza's most recognisable natural landmarks places tenth with an index score of 16.

The striking limestone islets have long been among the island's most photographed sights, particularly from viewpoints around Cala d'Hort.

According to Popsa, the decline follows the closure of a popular viewpoint in early 2025 as part of efforts to reduce heavy footfall and erosion in the protected area.

The result does not mean Es Vedrà has become less visually iconic. Instead, fewer opportunities to access and photograph the most popular viewpoint appear to have influenced its position in the data.

It demonstrates that the island's photographic identity extends well beyond its famous clubs, with protected landscapes and historic architecture continuing to attract enormous attention.

At the same time, the sharp contrast between the scores is notable. Dalt Vila's benchmark score of 100 is more than twice that of second-placed Paseo Marítimo, while Es Vedrà's score of 16 places it much closer to the lower end of the top ten.

Millions of Holiday Photos Analysed

The ranking was created by analysing millions of photographs uploaded by Popsa customers during 2025.

The company's data team used location metadata to identify photographs taken at Ibiza's most visited locations and then ranked them according to the total volume of images.

Each destination was given a normalised photo index score from 0 to 100, with the most photographed location used as the benchmark.

The result is intended to reflect actual traveller behaviour rather than a traditional tourism ranking based on reviews or visitor numbers.

A Different Way to See Ibiza

The ranking offers a useful reminder that Ibiza's appeal is remarkably diverse.

The island's most photographed locations include a fortified medieval old town, a busy nightlife promenade, world-famous party beaches, protected natural landscapes and some of the Mediterranean's most recognisable sunsets.

And while Es Vedrà may have slipped to tenth place, its presence in the top ten confirms that it remains one of Ibiza's defining visual symbols.

For visitors arriving on the island, the message from the data is simple: the best photographs are not found in just one corner of Ibiza. They stretch from the historic walls of Dalt Vila to the beaches, cliffs and sunset viewpoints that define the island's coastline.
