Dalt Vila has taken the top spot in a new ranking of Ibiza’s most photographed locations, with beaches, sunset hotspots and some of the island’s best-known coastal destinations making up the rest of the top 10.

The ranking is based on an analysis of millions of photographs uploaded by customers of photo-book platform Popsa during 2025. Rather than measuring visitor numbers or online reviews, the study looks at where travellers actually took photographs, offering an interesting snapshot of the places that captured the most attention across the island.

1. Dalt Vila Takes the Crown

Dalt Vila ranks as Ibiza’s most photographed location, receiving a photo index score of 100.

The UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town combines historic fortifications, cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings, panoramic viewpoints and views across the Mediterranean. Its distinctive combination of architecture and scenery makes it one of the most recognisable places in Ibiza.

The result also highlights how strongly Ibiza’s cultural heritage features in the island’s visual identity, alongside its famous beaches and nightlife.

2. Paseo Marítimo, Sant Antoni

Sant Antoni’s Paseo Marítimo takes second place with a photo index score of 48.

The waterfront promenade curves around the bay, connecting the town centre with the beaches of S’Arenal and Es Pouet. Its combination of the harbour, palm-lined seafront, restaurants, boats and Mediterranean views makes it a popular setting for photographs throughout the day.

3. Playa d’en Bossa

With a score of 47, Platja d’en Bossa comes in third.

The long sandy beach is one of Ibiza’s most recognisable destinations, combining turquoise water and beach life with some of the island’s biggest nightlife venues, including Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza.

Its place in the ranking reflects the way Ibiza’s modern party culture has become just as much a part of the island’s visual identity as its natural landscapes.

4. Ses Variades

Sant Antoni appears twice in the top four, with Ses Variades taking fourth place on a score of 45.

Better known as Ibiza’s Sunset Strip, the rocky coastline is closely associated with sunset culture and iconic venues including Café del Mar and Café Mambo. The combination of sea views, boats, music and dramatic evening skies makes it one of the island’s most photographed settings.

5. Cala Comte

Cala Comte is the highest-ranked beach on the list, placing fifth with a photo index score of 43.

Its turquoise waters, sandy coves and views towards Ibiza’s western islets create some of the island’s most recognisable coastal scenes. The area is particularly popular around sunset, when the rocky islets become part of the silhouette.

6. Cala Tarida

Cala Tarida takes sixth position with a score of 26.

The broad southwest coast beach offers clear, shallow water, pine-covered hills and a more relaxed atmosphere than many of Ibiza’s nightlife-focused destinations.

Its combination of beach scenery, water activities and Mediterranean surroundings gives it a distinct place among the island’s most photographed locations.

7. Cala Bassa

Cala Bassa ranks seventh with a score of 21.

The sheltered bay is known for its golden sand, clear turquoise water and surrounding pine and juniper woodland. The contrast between the bright coastline and dense greenery gives the beach a particularly distinctive appearance.

8. Platja de Ses Salines

Ses Salines takes eighth place with a score of 20.

Located within the protected Ses Salines Natural Park, the beach brings together sand dunes, pine forests, salt flats and exceptionally clear Mediterranean waters. Views towards the islets of Es Freus and Formentera add another layer to its visual appeal.

The ranking highlights the importance of Ibiza’s protected natural landscapes alongside its more developed coastal destinations.

9. Cala Jondal

Cala Jondal comes ninth with a score of 17.

The south-coast cove stands out for its white pebbles, wooden bathing platforms and deep blue water. Its connection with Ibiza’s luxury lifestyle also adds to its visual identity, with superyachts frequently anchoring offshore and venues such as Blue Marlin and Casa Jondal attracting visitors.

10. Es Vedrà y Es Vedranell

Completing the top 10 are Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, which receive a photo index score of 16.

Rising dramatically from the sea off Ibiza’s southwest coast, the uninhabited islets remain among the island’s most recognisable natural landmarks. The views from around Cala d’Hort and the surrounding coastline have become synonymous with Ibiza photography.

Their presence in the top 10 reinforces just how important Ibiza’s dramatic natural scenery remains to the island’s global image.

It is also notable that seven of the ten locations are concentrated along Ibiza’s coastline, highlighting the enduring appeal of the island’s Mediterranean scenery.

At the same time, the number one position belongs to Dalt Vila, proving that Ibiza’s historic heart remains every bit as photographable as its beaches and nightlife.

How the Ranking Was Created

Popsa’s data science team analysed millions of customer photographs uploaded during 2025. Location metadata was used to identify photographs taken within the boundaries of Ibiza’s most visited locations, which were then ranked according to the total volume of images.

Each location was assigned a photo index score representing its relative share of photographs in the dataset. The scores were normalised from 0 to 100, with Dalt Vila, the most photographed location, serving as the benchmark.

The result is not a traditional tourism ranking. Instead, it provides a data-driven look at the places travellers were most inspired to photograph during 2025.
