UD Ibiza made it two consecutive home victories on Saturday after defeating UE Sant Andreu 2-0 at Can Misses, taking its points tally to six from the opening three matches of the Primera RFEF season.

José Carlos Lazo opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Manu Justo sealed the victory in stoppage time.

The result moves the Ibiza side further up the early-season table, although there is still plenty of competition ahead.

Lazo Breaks the Deadlock

UD Ibiza started with more possession and created the first clear opportunity of the match when Pedro Ortiz headed against the crossbar following a corner.

The breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute.

Javi Eslava was brought down inside the penalty area and, after the VAR review confirmed the decision, Lazo stepped up to convert from the spot and put Ibiza 1-0 ahead.

The hosts controlled much of the opening period, but Sant Andreu began to threaten on the counter as the half progressed.

Prieto Keeps Ibiza Ahead

Sant Andreu came close to an equaliser before the interval, but Ibiza goalkeeper Andrés Prieto produced several important saves.

La Voz de Ibiza described Prieto as one of the key figures in the first half, with the goalkeeper keeping his side in front through a series of decisive interventions.

The Ibiza defence also produced an important block when a Sant Andreu attack appeared to have a clear route towards goal.

A More Even Second Half

After the break, Raúl Llona made his first change, bringing on David Astals for Pedro Ortiz.

Ibiza improved during the opening stages of the second half, but the match settled into a more even contest with relatively few clear chances.

Further substitutions brought Manu Justo and Ander Yoldi into the attack, while Almenara made his debut for the club during the closing stages.

Manu Justo Seals the Win

Sant Andreu continued to search for an equaliser, but Ibiza finally put the game beyond doubt in the 91st minute.

Astals won the ball in the opposition half and carried it towards the byline before delivering a low cross towards the far post.

Manu Justo arrived at the right moment and finished first time to make it 2-0.

It was his first goal for UD Ibiza and completed the second consecutive home victory.

Two Wins From Two at Can Misses

The result means UD Ibiza has won both of its home matches so far this season.

The team began its campaign with a defeat away from home before responding with victories against Rayo Majadahonda and Sant Andreu.

The official club report confirmed that the 2-0 victory was the second consecutive win of the season and the second success in two matches at Can Misses.

First Clean Sheet of the Season

Another positive was Ibiza's first clean sheet of the campaign.

After conceding in its opening two matches, the side managed to keep Sant Andreu scoreless on Saturday.

For goalkeeper Andrés Prieto and the defence, it was an important step forward as Raúl Llona continues to shape his team at the beginning of the season.

Six Points From Nine

The victory leaves UD Ibiza with six points from its first three league matches.

La Voz de Ibiza noted that the team has collected six of the nine available points, while also highlighting that there are still questions over the side's overall performance despite the positive results.

The early table remains tightly contested, making the next fixtures particularly important as teams begin to establish their positions.

Next Test Comes in Jaén

UD Ibiza's next league match will be away to Real Jaén on Friday, September 18.

Kick-off is scheduled for 9pm.

The trip will provide an early test of whether Ibiza can carry its strong home form onto the road and build on the momentum created by consecutive victories.

For now, though, Can Misses remains a perfect venue for the team this season, with two matches and two wins.
