How Much Does It Cost to Fly to Ibiza for the 2026 Closing Parties?
October 01, 2026
Ibiza's biggest closing parties are approaching, with the main weekend concentrated between Friday, October 9 and Sunday, October 11, followed by some final events on Monday, October 12.
For visitors still looking to fly to the island for the 2026 closing weekend, airfares are already reflecting the demand around the key dates.
A review of available fares on September 30 showed significant differences depending on the departure city, airline, travel dates and whether passengers were willing to add extra nights to their trip.
Madrid to Ibiza
For travellers flying from Madrid for the main closing weekend, a two-night, three-day trip covering October 9 to 11 was priced at around €200 for the flights when using an itinerary with a connection in Valencia.
A direct option from Madrid was considerably more expensive, reaching around €300 for the return journey at the time of the fare comparison.
There was also a much cheaper Ryanair option at around €80 return, but this required travelling from October 7 to October 11. The lower airfare therefore came with two additional nights on the island, meaning the total saving depends on accommodation and other travel costs.
Ibiza Airport currently has direct connections with Madrid operated by airlines including Air Europa and Iberia Express, while Ryanair also lists Madrid among its Ibiza destinations.
Barcelona offers more options
Flights from Barcelona were found at lower prices for the central closing dates.
The fare comparison found return flights of approximately €125 to €200 for travel around the main closing weekend, with direct services available from low-cost airlines including Vueling and Ryanair.
Travellers willing to extend their trip from October 7 to October 11 could find fares of around €70 return.
Again, the lower flight price needs to be considered alongside the cost of staying for additional nights.
Current airline fare information confirms that Ibiza and Barcelona remain well connected, although individual fares fluctuate according to travel date and availability. Vueling's published October fare calendar, for example, shows substantial day-to-day variation on the route.
London prices are considerably higher
For visitors travelling from the United Kingdom, the cost rises significantly around the main closing dates.
The fare comparison found it difficult to find return flights below approximately €480 from London Gatwick for October 9 to 11, with options including easyJet and British Airways.
An alternative combination involving London Luton on the outbound journey and Gatwick on the return was around €400 with easyJet.
Another option was to arrive earlier, on October 7, with return flights of approximately €300. That option came with an early departure, including a flight requiring passengers to be at the airport for a 05:30 departure.
Ibiza Airport has direct connections with several London airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, Southend and London City, depending on the airline and operating period.
Milan and Rome
Italy remains another important international market for Ibiza.
For the closing dates, the cheapest fares identified in the comparison were around €300 return from Milan.
From Rome, the lowest fares found were around €360 return.
These prices were based on the available options at the time of the search and should not be interpreted as standard prices for flying between Italy and Ibiza.
Munich prices remain high
Travellers coming from Germany faced similarly elevated fares.
From Munich, return flights for the closing period were found from around €440.
The comparison found little significant reduction by moving the departure forward to October 5, 6 or 7.
The analysis also found that fares for some German visitors travelling around October 3 to 5 were approaching €500, with Lufthansa accounting for many of the available options.
Ibiza Airport has direct seasonal connections with Munich, including services from Lufthansa City Airlines and other carriers depending on the operating period.
The cheapest flight may not mean the cheapest trip
The fare comparisons highlight an important point for anyone still planning a closing-party trip.
The lowest airfare can require a longer stay.
For example, the approximately €80 Madrid return fare required travel from October 7 to 11, compared with the more expensive options for a shorter October 9 to 11 trip.
The same pattern appeared from Barcelona, where fares of around €70 were available when extending the trip to October 7 to 11.
Adding accommodation, meals, airport transfers, taxis and club tickets can quickly outweigh the saving on the flight.
Closing weekend is concentrated around October 9 to 11
The biggest concentration of closing parties falls between October 9 and 11.
Hï Ibiza and [UNVRS] have major closing events on October 9 and 10 respectively, while Ushuaïa and other major venues also close on October 10. Pacha has its closing weekend on October 10 and 11.
Some events continue beyond that weekend, including DC-10's closing on October 12.
That concentration helps explain why flights can become considerably more expensive around the central dates, particularly when visitors are booking only a few days before travelling.
Flight prices can change quickly
The prices above should be treated as a snapshot of fares identified around September 30, 2026.
Airline pricing is dynamic, and the same flight can become more expensive or cheaper depending on remaining seats, booking time, travel dates, baggage and the fare selected.
Airlines themselves warn that displayed fares can vary according to demand and availability.
For anyone planning a last-minute Ibiza closing-party trip, the real cost therefore needs to be calculated as a complete trip rather than by looking at the airfare alone.
With the major 2026 closing weekend only days away, flexibility over arrival and departure dates can make a substantial difference to the final cost.
