Sant Antoni de Portmany is preparing for a weekend combining music, collecting and local shopping, with the IX Ibiza Record Fair returning to the Passeig de ses Fonts on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13.

The event will bring together vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, music posters and T-shirts, alongside DJ sets throughout both days. On Sunday, the programme will expand with the XXXI Stock Fair, giving visitors the chance to browse discounted products from local businesses.

Both events will run from 10am to 9pm at the Passeig de ses Fonts, with free admission.

Two Days Dedicated to Music Collecting

The IX Ibiza Record Fair will take place continuously across Saturday and Sunday, offering an opportunity for music lovers and collectors to search through a wide selection of physical music.

Organised by the Associació Músic Cultural Retro, the fair will feature specialist vendors with collections covering different musical eras and formats.

Visitors can expect to find vinyl records alongside CDs and DVDs, as well as music-related posters, promotional material and T-shirts.

Among those taking part are Ángel Querol of Firadisc, who organises the Barcelona Record Fair, Pere Terrassa of Runaway, associated with the International Barcelona Fair held at Estació del Nord, and Joan Carles Ramos of Musicom.

The organisers say the participating specialists have extensive experience in the record-collecting scene and regularly attend major international fairs in cities including Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, Perpignan and Milan.

Their participation gives the Ibiza event a broader national and international collecting dimension.

DJs Provide the Soundtrack

The record fair will also have a strong connection to Ibiza's DJ culture, with a programme of live DJ sessions spread across the two days.

Saturday's line-up includes Alex Aguilera, DJ Betterman, Dope Selekta, Javi Stomp, Joan Ribas and Redhair 56 & Miguel Lorente.

Sunday will feature Rafa Desan, Rick, Noelia Mendez, Chito de Melero, Angel Linde and Clara Da Costa & Karlos Sense.

The sessions will provide a musical backdrop while visitors browse the stalls, making the event as much about listening and atmosphere as collecting.

The Stock Fair Returns on Sunday

Sunday will add another attraction to the Passeig de ses Fonts with the XXXI Stock Fair.

Organised by Sant Antoni Town Hall's Department of Local Economic Development in collaboration with the Associació de Comerciants de Sant Antoni, the event gives local businesses the opportunity to take their products directly into the public space.

Products will be offered at reduced prices, with participating businesses expected to showcase items from several retail categories.
