The second edition of the O Beach Tournament will take place this weekend at the municipal football field in Sant Antoni, bringing together young players from across Ibiza and Mallorca.

Organised by SD Portmany, the tournament is aimed at benjamín and alevín age groups and is designed to combine competitive football with a relaxed atmosphere for players and their families.

Benjamín Competition on Saturday

The tournament begins on Saturday, September 12 at 9:30am with the benjamín categories.

In the first-year benjamín competition, SD Portmany, UD Ibiza, Peña Deportiva and Bahía San Agustín will compete for the title.

The second-year category will feature SD Portmany, UD Ibiza, Atlético Baleares and Madre Alberta, with the two Mallorca clubs travelling to Ibiza to take part.

The finals in both benjamín categories are scheduled for 2pm.

Alevín Teams Take Over on Sunday

The tournament continues on Sunday, September 13 with the alevín categories, also beginning at 9:30am.

SD Portmany, UD Ibiza, Peña Deportiva, Sant Josep, Penya Independent and Sant Jordi will participate in the day's competition.

The alevín final is scheduled for 1:40pm.

A Weekend of Grassroots Football

The O Beach Tournament provides local youth teams with an opportunity to return to competition in a more informal setting at the beginning of the new football season.

Alongside the matches, the event is designed as a family occasion, bringing players, coaches and relatives together throughout the weekend.

The participation of clubs from Mallorca also adds an inter-island element to the tournament and gives the young players the chance to face teams they would not normally meet in local competition.

SD Portmany and O Beach

The tournament is organised by SD Portmany with the support of O Beach, continuing a collaboration that combines grassroots sport with community events.

The focus is firmly on youth football, with the competition designed to encourage participation and enjoyment alongside the competitive side of the game.

For the players, the weekend offers an early opportunity to test themselves against different opposition before the regular season gets fully underway.

Football and Families in Sant Antoni

With matches taking place across Saturday and Sunday, the tournament is expected to bring considerable activity to the municipal football field.

The organisers have emphasised the family-friendly nature of the event, creating an environment where young footballers can compete while relatives and supporters enjoy the weekend together.

The second O Beach Tournament takes place on September 12 and 13 at the municipal football field in Sant Antoni, with benjamín competition on Saturday followed by the alevín tournament on Sunday.
