GORDO has officially begun his six-week TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza, opening the series on Tuesday, August 25 with a packed night of house and tech-house music.

The opening party brought together GORDO, Vanjee, Wade, Gustavo Domínguez and Gala, setting the tone for a residency that will continue every Tuesday through September 29.

Reports from the opening night described a strong turnout and an energetic atmosphere, with the club busy from the beginning of the night through to closing.

GORDO Brings TARAKA to Pacha

TARAKA is GORDO's own label and party concept, and this residency marks his first extended run at Pacha Ibiza.

The project arrives on the back of GORDO's international career, which has included tracks such as “Hombres y Mujeres” and “Sideways”, as well as production work on Drake's Honestly, Nevermind. Pacha also notes GORDO's Billboard recognition and his appearances at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland.

For the Ibiza residency, the producer is bringing his own sound to the club alongside a rotating selection of international guests.

A Strong Opening Night

The first TARAKA night featured Vanjee, Wade, Gustavo Domínguez and Gala alongside GORDO.

According to reports from the event, the DJs kept the dancefloor moving throughout the night, with GORDO playing a set built around his bass-heavy house and tech-house sound and some of his best-known productions.

Spanish singer-songwriter Bad Gyal was also spotted in the DJ booth during the opening night.

The successful opening gives the residency a strong starting point as it moves into its September dates.

The September Line-Up

The residency continues with a different line-up of guests each Tuesday.

On September 1, GORDO is joined by Nicole Moudaber, Sacchi, Harvy Valencia and Tony Guerra.

The following dates include:

September 8: GORDO, Shimza, Alex Wann, ARODES, Manda Moor and Gala

September 15: GORDO, Vintage Culture, Patrick Topping, Sacchi and JØRD

September 22: GORDO, HoneyLuv, Vanjee and Gala

September 29: GORDO, Roger Sanchez, Gala and Abril Love for the closing party.

Each event runs from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. at Pacha Ibiza.

GORDO’s Connection With Ibiza

The residency represents a significant step in GORDO's relationship with Ibiza.

He has been appearing on the island for several years, including at parties and villa events, before taking on his own residency at Pacha.

In an interview with Ibiza Spotlight, GORDO said Pacha has a particular significance for him, describing it as one of the first places he played in Ibiza and saying he has a longstanding connection with the club.

The producer also described TARAKA as representing ideas including being a maverick, an outsider and someone focused on new and innovative ideas.

A Residency Built Around New Talent Too

One notable feature of the TARAKA line-ups is the recurring presence of Gala and Sacchi.

GORDO told Ibiza Spotlight that he wanted to give more support to female DJs and highlighted Gala and Sacchi as recurring residents throughout the residency.

They will appear across multiple dates alongside the international guests, giving the series a consistent identity while allowing each Tuesday to have a different musical line-up.

Six Tuesdays at Pacha Ibiza

The TARAKA residency follows a special one-off Pacha event in May before returning for its main six-week run at the end of summer.

With major names including Nicole Moudaber, Vintage Culture, Patrick Topping, HoneyLuv and Roger Sanchez joining GORDO across September, the residency is set to remain one of Pacha's notable late-season series.

The final party takes place on September 29, when GORDO will be joined by Roger Sanchez, Gala and Abril Love.

After a strong opening night, TARAKA now enters its September run — bringing GORDO's own party concept to Pacha Ibiza for the rest of the summer season.
