Purple Disco Machine Brings Disco Back to the Heart of Pacha Ibiza

Purple Disco Machine is bringing his blend of disco, funk and modern house to the heart of Ibiza this summer with a new residency at Pacha Ibiza.

The German DJ and producer, whose real name is Tino Piontek, is the new host of Pure Pacha for the 2026 season, taking over the Thursday night series with a sound that connects classic disco and funk with contemporary house.

Ibiza Spotlight recently visited one of the residency's August parties, describing a night built around familiar dancefloor classics, modern house and an audience heavily engaged with the music.

A New Sound for Pure Pacha

Pure Pacha has been a long-running part of the Pacha programme, and for 2026 the party has been given a new musical direction with Purple Disco Machine at its centre.

His sets draw heavily on the sounds of classic disco and funk, while incorporating modern house production and contemporary dance music.

The result is a deliberately accessible sound that brings together different generations of dance music fans.

Disco Meets Modern House

During the August 27 party reviewed by Ibiza Spotlight, French DJ Kungs opened the night with an upbeat selection of house and Italo House before Purple Disco Machine took over the main set.

The evening included tracks and remixes spanning several decades, including music associated with Bronski Beat, New Order, Madonna and Michael Jackson, alongside more contemporary productions.

Purple Disco Machine also played his own remixes, including versions of “Coma Cat” and “On My Mind.”

The combination created a set built around recognisable melodies and disco-inspired grooves rather than a strictly underground club sound.

A Packed Dancefloor

According to Ibiza Spotlight's review, the crowd responded strongly throughout the night, with the dancefloor particularly animated during familiar tracks such as “Billie Jean.”

A confetti moment later added to the theatrical atmosphere inside Pacha, while the club's lighting and ceiling effects complemented the disco-focused music.

The review also praised the performances by the Bob's Dance Shop dancers, highlighting their choreography and energy during the night.

Kungs Opens the Night

Before Purple Disco Machine took the booth, Kungs provided the opening set.

The French DJ and producer played several of his own tracks, including “Need A Hit,” “Club Azur” and “Gero,” alongside other house and dance selections.

The set helped establish the upbeat atmosphere before the night's main act took over.

Purple Disco Machine's Ibiza Season

Purple Disco Machine's Pure Pacha residency runs through the 2026 season, with weekly Thursday parties scheduled through October 1.

The remaining programme includes appearances from a number of established names in electronic and dance music, including 2manydjs, Armand Van Helden, Todd Terje, Cerrone, Gerd Janson and Busy P.

The closing party is scheduled for October 1, with Purple Disco Machine joined by Gerd Janson, Busy P and Breakbot & Irfane.

A Different Kind of Pacha Night

The new residency places disco at the centre of one of Ibiza's most established club nights.

Rather than focusing exclusively on current underground sounds, Purple Disco Machine's sets draw on familiar disco and funk records and combine them with modern house production.

That musical approach has helped make his sound accessible to a broad audience, while still keeping the energy and scale expected from a night at Pacha.

For 2026, Pure Pacha is offering a distinctly feel-good take on the club's Thursday programme, with Purple Disco Machine providing the soundtrack.

The Remaining Pure Pacha Dates

There are still several opportunities to catch Purple Disco Machine at Pacha this season.

The remaining dates are:

  • September 3: 2manydjs, Brothers Macklovitch and David Bay

  • September 10: Armand Van Helden, DiOSA and Yuksek

  • September 17: Cerrone, Kenny Dope, DiOSA and David Bay

  • September 24: Todd Terje, Deer Jade and David Bay
