One of Ibiza’s most distinctive charity food events is returning for its fifth year, bringing together 20 Michelin-starred chefs, local businesses and the island’s community for an evening dedicated to raising funds for families affected by childhood cancer.
Estrellas Contra el Cáncer will take place on October 3 at Nassau Ibiza, where the participating chefs will join forces for a special gala dinner in support of ASPANOB, the Balearic association for families of children with cancer.
The event was presented this week at Nassau Ibiza by its founders, Nuria Moreno and chef Óscar Molina, marking five years since the initiative first brought the worlds of haute cuisine and charitable fundraising together in Ibiza.
20 Michelin-Starred Chefs in One Night
The fifth edition will feature 20 chefs, including Ibiza's own Óscar Molina, alongside Michelin-recognised chefs from across Spain.
Among those taking part are Carlos Maldonado, Pablo González, Álvaro Garrido, Raúl Resino, Luis Valls, Rafael Soler, Aarón Ortiz, Cristian Palacio, Samuel Naveira, Sergio Manzano and Víctor Martín, among others.
The chefs will prepare the evening's food as part of a collaborative culinary experience, bringing together different styles and backgrounds for a single charitable event.
The organisation describes the gathering as part of its wider effort to use gastronomy as a way of creating social impact.
Supporting ASPANOB
The event's fundraising will benefit ASPANOB, the Association of Families of Children with Cancer of the Balearic Islands.
The charity supports families affected by childhood cancer across the islands, making the event's culinary focus part of a wider effort to raise both funds and awareness.
Last year's edition raised €29,510 for the association. For the 2026 event, the organisers have established a minimum fundraising target of €18,000, based on the sale of 100 dinner tickets, with additional funds expected from other activities and donations.
A New Addition After the Gala Dinner
This year's event will also introduce something new.
For the first time, the evening will continue after the dinner with a concert by Los del Varadero, beginning at midnight at Nassau Ibiza.
Concert tickets will cost €25, including a drink, with the proceeds added to the funds raised during the charity evening.
This gives guests another way to participate in the fundraising, even beyond the main dinner.
Local Ibiza Ingredients
The event is also putting attention on Ibiza's own food producers.
On the morning of the event, the participating chefs are expected to visit the Ibiza market to purchase local ingredients for the evening's dishes.
The organisers say the initiative is intended to highlight kilometre-zero products and give the chefs the opportunity to work with ingredients from the island.
It adds a distinctly local element to an event that otherwise brings together culinary talent from across Spain.
Five Years of Estrellas Contra el Cáncer
What began as a charity dinner in Ibiza has now developed into a broader gastronomic initiative.
The founders, Nuria Moreno and Óscar Molina, have since developed the wider Estrellas por el Mundo project, which brings similar charitable gastronomic experiences to other destinations.
But Ibiza remains the home of the original event.
The fifth edition therefore represents a milestone for the initiative, bringing the event back to the island with another large group of chefs and a new programme extending beyond the dinner itself.
When Is the Event?
Estrellas Contra el Cáncer 2026 will take place on:
October 3, 2026
Nassau Ibiza
Dinner from 8:30 p.m.
Concert from midnight
The organisers say only a small number of dinner places remain available.
