After a decade away from the island, one of dance music’s most recognisable club brands is making its Ibiza comeback this Thursday, September 3, as Ministry of Sound celebrates its 35th anniversary with a special day-to-night event at 528 Ibiza.
The one-off celebration is built around two distinct sessions, taking guests from the venue’s outdoor Garden into its indoor Club as the evening develops. It marks Ministry of Sound’s return to Ibiza after a ten-year absence and brings together names from the brand’s influential past alongside a newer generation of electronic music selectors.
The Garden opens from 17:00 until 23:00, with house music legend Louie Vega leading the daytime programme alongside Benji B, Dan Shake and Paisley Jensen. As the sun goes down, the party moves indoors, where Ministry of Sound’s URGE concept takes over the Club from 23:00 until close.
The nighttime lineup features Murphy’s Law, Reelow, DiOSA and Basso, adding a more underground and contemporary edge to the second half of the event. The complete party runs from 17:00 until 04:00, creating a nine-hour journey through different sides of house and electronic music.
The return is particularly significant for Ministry of Sound, which is using its 35th anniversary year to revisit its Ibiza history. The brand has long been associated with London’s club culture and the development of house music, making Thursday’s event both a celebration of its heritage and a look towards its current sound.
The choice of 528 Ibiza also gives the event room to evolve throughout the day. Located in the Benimussa hills, the venue combines an outdoor Garden with an indoor club space, allowing the Ministry of Sound experience to move naturally from an afternoon under the Ibiza sky into a late-night session.
Tickets for this Thursday are currently available from €42.20. The event is strictly 18+, and guests must bring valid original identification. There is no re-entry once leaving the venue, while 528 Ibiza asks guests to make an effort with their dress, with beachwear and sportswear not permitted.
With Louie Vega, Benji B and Dan Shake leading the Garden programme before Murphy’s Law, Reelow, DiOSA and Basso take over the Club, Ministry of Sound’s Ibiza return promises a full day and night dedicated to the evolution of house music.
For Ibiza clubbers, this Thursday offers a rare opportunity to experience a legendary club brand back on the island for a special anniversary celebration — and this time, the party is happening at 528 Ibiza.
