A new wellness destination in northern Ibiza is bringing together water therapy, thermal experiences, massage and flotation in a cave-inspired setting at Nômade Temple Ibiza in Portinatx.

GÖN House of Healing forms part of the new Nômade Temple property and has been designed around the natural landscape of the north of the island, with stone, water and subdued lighting used throughout its subterranean-style spaces.

The concept places water at the centre of the experience, combining thermal circuits with treatments and more immersive wellness rituals.

A wellness space inspired by Ibiza's caves

GÖN House of Healing is integrated into the natural surroundings of Nômade Temple Ibiza, near Portinatx.

The design takes inspiration from Ibiza's caves and natural rock formations, using stone and other natural textures to create a quieter environment away from the more conventional hotel-spa aesthetic.

According to GÖN, the space is intended to combine contemporary wellness techniques with traditional approaches involving heat, cold and water.

Water at the centre of the experience

The water therapy area is the core of GÖN's spa offering.

The circuit includes hammam steam rooms, dry saunas, a cold plunge and contrast showers. The facility also has a flotation tank using warm, mineral-rich water and a Wataflow Sanctuary, where the water is maintained at approximately 34-36°C.

The different areas are designed around changing temperatures and sensations, moving between heat and cold before returning to quieter spaces.

The approach is intended to make the water circuit more than simply a collection of spa facilities, with guests moving through a sequence of different environments.

Hammam, sauna and cold plunge

The thermal circuit includes four humid steam baths and two dry saunas.

The cold plunge provides the sharpest contrast, with the experience moving from heat into cold water before returning to warmer environments.

GÖN's official description says the thermal area is designed around the contrast between heat and cold, with the facility intended to support relaxation, recovery and a sense of balance.

The flotation experience

One of the more unusual facilities is the flotation tank.

Guests float in warm, mineral-rich water in an environment designed to reduce external stimulation.

The idea is to remove much of the effort normally involved in remaining afloat, creating a quieter physical environment with fewer sensory distractions.

GÖN describes the flotation experience as part of its wider water-therapy concept, alongside the thermal circuit and Wataflow Sanctuary.

Treatments beyond the water circuit

GÖN also offers treatment rooms covering a range of body therapies, facials and wellness rituals.

Its current treatment menu includes massages and body rituals alongside facial treatments and recovery-focused technologies.

The facilities include red-light panels, LED therapy and compression boots, adding more contemporary recovery options to the traditional spa environment.

GÖN is not limited exclusively to people staying at Nômade Temple.

The property's information states that external visitors can access the wellness offering with a confirmed spa reservation, while selected experiences may also be available to non-guests.

The current GÖN website lists the spa water circuit at €90 for visitors, while access is complimentary for hotel guests.

A resident offer for Ibiza

GÖN is also offering a specific benefit for people living on the island.

Ibiza residents can receive 20% off treatments lasting one hour or more, with access to the water circuit included. Proof of residence is required when making the reservation.

This gives local residents an option to experience the new wellness space without staying at the hotel.
