Markus Schulz Takes Over Eden Ibiza From Open to Close This Thursday

September 08, 2026

There will be no handover between DJs at Eden Ibiza this Thursday, September 10. Instead, Markus Schulz takes complete control of the San Antonio club for another edition of Open To Close, his five-date 2026 residency built around a single artist guiding the dancefloor from the opening record through to sunrise.

The party begins at 23:45 and runs through until 06:00. Tickets for September 10 are currently listed from €40, with Markus Schulz confirmed to perform all night.

The format is deliberately different from a conventional Ibiza residency. There are no supporting DJs taking over the decks during the night, allowing Schulz to build his own musical narrative over several hours. His sets are known for moving between progressive house, darker trance and tech-trance, with deeper passages giving way to more driving and euphoric moments as the night develops.

That extended format is particularly suited to Schulz's approach to trance. Rather than compressing a musical journey into a short headline slot, Open To Close gives him the freedom to change direction gradually, building tension and atmosphere without having to work around another artist's set time. Eden describes the concept as one DJ controlling the music from open to close.

The September 10 party is the third weekly edition of the residency. Open To Close began on August 27 and continues with another date on September 17 before a final closing party on Friday, September 25 during Ibiza Trance Event week.

Schulz's return is also part of a broader resurgence of trance on the island. The German DJ has maintained a long relationship with Ibiza, and his 2026 Eden residency puts the emphasis firmly on the genre's deeper and more progressive side rather than a nostalgia-driven approach. Ibiza Spotlight describes his Open To Close performances as long-form dancefloor journeys designed to build naturally from the opening minutes through to daylight.

Eden's Void sound system is another important part of the setup. The San Antonio club has recently leaned into artist-led concepts that put musical depth and extended sets at the centre of the experience, making it a fitting home for an all-night performance.

Guests must be 18 or over and carry valid original identification. Eden operates a strict no-reentry policy, meaning anyone leaving the club will need to pay again to return.

For September 10, Eden is keeping the formula simple: one DJ, one dancefloor and more than six hours to tell the story. Markus Schulz's Open To Close gives trance fans the chance to stay with a single musical journey from 23:45 until the early morning.
