DC-10 Ibiza
DC-10 Ibiza is not just a nightclub, but one of the key reference points of Ibiza’s underground scene. Free from spectacle and excess, it stands for a purist idea of clubbing where music, energy, and the crowd matter more than image.
The venue opened in 1986 inside a former aircraft hangar near Ibiza Airport, founded by brothers Sito and Antonio Lara. Operating quietly and independently, it became known as a place for people who cared more about sound and freedom than visibility. Its name comes from the now-retired DC-10 aircraft, a nod to both its location and its unconventional roots.

In 2002, everything shifted with the launch of Circoloco. Born as a Monday daytime party, it broke away from Ibiza’s clubbing norms by rejecting headliners and VIP culture, focusing instead on long, expressive DJ sets. It quickly became a defining force in underground electronic music, both on the island and beyond.
DC-10’s layout is raw and functional. The Terrace delivers intense, enclosed energy, the Club Room dives into darker and deeper sounds, and the Garden offers open air without breaking the flow. DJs and dancers share the same floor, reinforcing the club’s strong sense of equality.
Minimal visuals, red lighting, and a powerful sound system keep attention locked on the music. Planes flying low overhead add a moment that feels unmistakably Ibiza. While Circoloco now travels the world, its soul remains here. DC-10 continues to be one of the island’s last true underground institutions.
