Ibiza Airport Shatters Previous Records in July with Surge to 1.45 Million Travelers
Ibiza Airport has reached a historic milestone this summer, welcoming 1,446,589 passengers in July 2025, the highest figure ever recorded for the month. This represents a 0.9% increase compared to July 2024, highlighting the island’s continued appeal as one of Europe’s top summer destinations.
Strong Growth in International Travel
Of the total passengers, 1,443,755 traveled on commercial flights. Domestic traffic saw a slight decline of 0.8% with 480,372 travelers, but this was more than offset by a rise in international passengers, which grew by 1.9% to 963,383 travelers.
The UK remains the largest international market for Ibiza, contributing 329,048 passengers, followed by Italy with 207,532 and Germany with 107,961.
Record Flight Activity
Aircraft movements also reflected the busy season. Ibiza Airport handled 13,232 flights in July, a 1.1% increase compared to last year. Out of these, 12,376 were commercial flights, underscoring the strength of tourism demand on the island.
Part of a Nationwide Record
Ibiza’s performance mirrors a wider trend across Spain. The Aena airport network recorded over 32.7 million passengers in July, making it the busiest month ever for air travel in the country. Ibiza was among 16 Spanish airports that broke all-time monthly records.
Looking Ahead
With August traditionally being the busiest month of the summer, expectations remain high for continued growth. These record-breaking numbers reinforce Ibiza’s position as a global hotspot, attracting travelers from across Europe and beyond.
