Just days after announcing what was expected to be one of Ibiza's most anticipated electronic music events of the summer, Pacha ICONS has officially cancelled its exclusive open-air edition at Cantera Can Coix in San Antonio, which was scheduled to take place on 11 July 2026.

The event would have seen Solomun headline a carefully curated lineup alongside Johannes Brecht (Live), Rafael Cerato and Aladag, marking the first time Pacha ICONS ventured beyond its iconic open-air home at Destino Five Ibiza.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Pacha ICONS said the decision followed unexpected public reaction after the event was announced. According to the organisers, the concept was created with the intention of delivering a unique night dedicated entirely to music and Ibiza's electronic music community. However, they acknowledged that the response quickly revealed concerns surrounding the event, leading them to reassess whether it should move forward.

The organisers explained that while there was support from many people involved in bringing the project to life, the event had evolved into something that no longer reflected the positive experience they had originally envisioned. They added that cancelling the event was not a financial decision but an emotional one, stating that the event was never created for profit, but rather to bring people together through music.

Pacha ICONS also apologised to everyone who had already purchased tickets, made travel plans or was looking forward to attending the event. All ticket holders will receive a full refund.

The cancellation brings an end to what was set to be a unique chapter for Pacha ICONS, with the event series originally planning to leave Destino Five Ibiza for the first time and transform the dramatic quarry setting of Cantera Can Coix into a spectacular open-air dancefloor.

Although this special edition will no longer take place, Pacha ICONS ended its message on a hopeful note, telling fans, "We will find each other again, on another floor, under different circumstances."

For now, Solomun's scheduled appearances at Pacha ICONS' regular events at Destino Five Ibiza remain unchanged unless otherwise announced.
