West African Afro House artist AMÉMÉ has released his latest track, "Chulo", following a summer that saw his One Tribe project establish its first dedicated Ibiza residency at Cova Santa.

Released through Altra Moda Music in September 2026, "Chulo" had already been appearing in AMÉMÉ's DJ sets before its official release, giving the track a direct connection to his performances during the Ibiza season.

The release arrived shortly after the conclusion of One Tribe's five-date residency at Cova Santa, which ran every Thursday from July 30 through August 27.

One Tribe Arrives in Ibiza

The Cova Santa residency marked the first Ibiza residency for One Tribe, the community-driven project founded by AMÉMÉ.

The five-week series brought together AMÉMÉ with a rotating selection of international artists, reflecting the collective's focus on Afro House and a wider global club culture.

The opening event on July 30 featured AMÉMÉ alongside Jamiie, KILIMANJARO, LP Giobbi, Nenahalena and Yung Omz.

Subsequent dates featured artists including HoneyLuv, Awen, Da Capo, Kasango, Vanco, Coco & Breezy and Kitty Amor.

Each event ran from 19:00 until late, taking place in Cova Santa's open-air setting in the hills of Sant Josep.

From Brooklyn to Ibiza

One Tribe began in Brooklyn in 2017 and has since developed from a party series into a broader platform connecting music, artists and culture.

AMÉMÉ, whose real name is Hubert Sodogandji, was born in Benin and later developed his career in New York and Berlin before establishing himself within the international Afro House scene.

The Ibiza residency represented another stage in the project's international development, following One Tribe events and showcases in cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, London and New York.

"Chulo" Had Already Been Heard on the Dancefloor

Although the studio release came later, "Chulo" was not completely new to AMÉMÉ's audience.

The track had been incorporated into his DJ sets before its official release, meaning fans attending his performances could hear it in a live setting before it became commercially available.

The release now gives listeners the finished studio recording, extending the track's life beyond the Ibiza dancefloor.

"Chulo" is classified as an Afro House release and was issued through Altra Moda Music, with an extended mix also available.

A Busy Ibiza Season for AMÉMÉ

The Cova Santa residency was part of a wider Ibiza schedule for the artist in 2026.

AMÉMÉ also appeared at several major Ibiza events during the season, including performances alongside established names from the international electronic music scene.

His Ibiza dates included appearances at Hï Ibiza and other major club events, alongside his dedicated One Tribe residency.

He also returned to Hï Ibiza in September for HUGEL's Make The Girls Dance event and performed at [UNVRS] alongside Black Coffee and Marco Carola on September 26.

More New Music in 2026

"Chulo" follows other releases and collaborations from AMÉMÉ during 2026.

Earlier in the year, he worked with Baggi and Three Drives on a new version of the trance classic "Greece 2000", while his other recent work has continued to explore the Afro House sound that has become central to his catalogue.

His music has received support from artists including Black Coffee, Diplo and Pete Tong, according to the artist's current release biography.

One Tribe's First Ibiza Chapter

The five-week Cova Santa residency concluded on August 27, bringing One Tribe's first dedicated Ibiza residency to an end.

The series gave the collective a regular home on the island and connected its community-focused concept with a rotating international lineup across five Thursday nights.

"Chulo" now provides a musical link to that Ibiza chapter, arriving after weeks of performances in which the track was already part of AMÉMÉ's sets.

For One Tribe, the residency marked its first extended presence in Ibiza. For AMÉMÉ, the release of "Chulo" offers a studio continuation of a summer closely connected with the island's Afro House scene.
