Sant Antoni has welcomed the return of the Fira Marinera, with the XV edition of the maritime-themed fair opening its doors on Thursday, September 24.

The market opened at 11am across the Passeig de la Mar and Passeig de ses Fonts, bringing together craft and food stalls, music, street performances and activities for visitors of all ages. The event continues through Sunday, September 27.

Four Days of Activities

The opening morning began relatively quietly, with visitors starting to browse the stalls along the seafront. The programme increased in activity during the afternoon, beginning with a musical street parade at 5:30pm.

The official opening ceremony took place at 7pm, with the participating performance groups taking part in the event.

Throughout the four-day fair, the Passeig de la Mar and Passeig de ses Fonts are hosting a programme combining crafts, gastronomy, music, dance, street performances and family activities.

A Family-Focused Programme

This year's edition includes a dedicated children's area with workshops, storytelling, traditional games and manually operated attractions.

The programme also features acrobatic performances, aerial shows and themed street parades involving pirates, corsairs, mythical creatures and other characters.

The red dragon that has featured in previous editions is also returning this year, with appearances scheduled during the programme, including the traditional farewell on Sunday.

Music, Performances and the Market

Raebellion Folk is among the groups performing during the fair, while the programme includes street concerts, roaming musicians and themed performances throughout the four days.

Friday's programme begins at 11am, while activities on Saturday and Sunday start at 10:45am. The final day concludes with the Despedida del Dragón at 8pm, followed by further performances and street entertainment.

The fair is taking place in the central seafront area of Sant Antoni, with the market and entertainment spread between the two promenades.

Fira Marinera Continues Until Sunday

The XV Fira Marinera will remain in Sant Antoni until Sunday, September 27, offering four days of themed entertainment, shopping, food and family activities.

For residents and visitors, the event provides a traditional end-of-September celebration in the centre of Sant Antoni, combining a maritime setting with a programme of live entertainment and activities for different age groups.
