Hogar Ibiza Begins New Chapter With Maria José Cardona as President

Hogar Ibiza has entered a new chapter with the presentation of a renewed board of directors, led by Maria José Cardona as president and Rosario Salazar as vice-president.
The new board was presented on Thursday, September 24, at the organisation's headquarters in Ibiza, coinciding with one of its regular afternoon dance sessions, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
New Activities Planned for Members
The new leadership plans to maintain the activities already offered at Hogar Ibiza while expanding the programme with additional proposals for members.
Cardona and Salazar said they are working on a new programme that will include excursions, parties and other activities, alongside the programme of activities organised by the Consell d'Eivissa.
The aim is to provide members with a broader range of opportunities to socialise, take part in activities and continue using the centre as a meeting place.
Direct Support for Members
One of the changes introduced by the new board is a dedicated period for direct attention to members and users.
The board will receive visitors at the Hogar Ibiza from Monday to Friday between 10:30am and 12pm. The service is intended to help members with questions, problems or other issues relating to the centre.
The New Board
Alongside Cardona and Salazar, the new board consists of Olga Cruz as secretary, with Loli Clapés, Braulio Díaz, Amparo Escandell, Chelo Manzano, Toni Riera, Marga Serra, Isabel Torres and Félix Torres serving as board members.
The presentation was attended by Consell d'Eivissa Councillor for Social Welfare Carolina Escandell, Hogar Ibiza director Marilu Jaén and Ibiza Town Councillor for Older People Sara Barbado.
Photography Exhibition Opens
The presentation of the new board also coincided with the opening of a photography exhibition at Hogar Ibiza.
The exhibition features 22 photographs produced by 11 participants in a photography workshop previously held at Esplai de Can Ventosa. Each participant selected two images for the exhibition.
The workshop was led by photographers Andrea Rivi and Alejandro del Hoyo and covered both technical aspects of photography and the creative process, with participants using cameras as well as mobile phones.
The exhibition is now on display at Hogar Ibiza as part of the organisation's new stage.
