Ibiza is preparing to step back in time this week as Eivissa Medieval 2026 returns from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 May, transforming the island’s historic old town into one of its most atmospheric cultural celebrations of the year.

For four days, Dalt Vila and the surrounding streets will come alive with medieval markets, live music, theatre, dance, falconry, children’s workshops, street parades and historical recreations, bringing colour and movement to the UNESCO-listed heart of Ibiza Town.

The event is one of the island’s most beloved spring traditions, marking the historic character of Eivissa and celebrating the city’s World Heritage identity. Visitors can expect artisan stalls, food stands, costumed performers, musicians, jugglers and family-friendly activities throughout the old town.

This year’s programme is expected to include more than 200 craft and food stalls, around 70 scheduled performances and approximately 150 street entertainment activities, creating a full cultural route through the city’s most iconic streets and squares.

For Ibiza, Eivissa Medieval is more than a fair. It is a reminder of the island’s layered history, where fortress walls, cobbled streets and centuries-old architecture become the stage for one of the most charming events of the season.

Taking place just as the island moves deeper into May, the festival also offers a different side of Ibiza for residents and visitors, far from the usual beach and nightlife image. It is a weekend of heritage, family atmosphere, local culture and open-air celebration in one of the most beautiful historic settings in the Mediterranean.

Eivissa Medieval 2026 runs from 7 to 10 May in Dalt Vila and the surrounding historic centre of Ibiza Town.
