Cala Escondida Chiringuito Finds a New Home in Playa d'en Bossa
After announcing earlier this summer that its much-loved chiringuito at Cala Escondida near Cala Comte would remain closed for the 2026 season, the team has now revealed an unexpected new beginning.
Cala Escondida has officially announced the opening of a brand-new location at Platja d'en Bossa, marking a fresh chapter for one of Ibiza's most beloved beach chiringuito brands.
The new venue, called "Cala Escondida d'en Bossa", opens on Friday, July 24, at the southern end of Playa d'en Bossa, next to Torre de sa Sal Rossa. Doors open from 4:00 PM, with live music planned to celebrate the launch.
Earlier this year, fans were disappointed when the original Cala Escondida chiringuito, hidden beside Cala Comte in Sant Josep, confirmed it would remain closed throughout the 2026 summer season without explaining the reasons behind the decision. The announcement prompted an outpouring of support from locals and returning visitors who regarded the venue as one of Ibiza's most authentic sunset spots.
While the original cove location remains closed, this latest announcement confirms that the Cala Escondida spirit is continuing in a new setting. The team has also shared practical information for visitors, including parking areas, public bus connections, and a map to help guests find the new beachfront location.
The new Cala Escondida d'en Bossa officially welcomes visitors from July 24.
