Ben Hemsley’s NRG Takes Over Monday Nights at Amnesia Ibiza

Ben Hemsley’s Monday nights at Amnesia Ibiza are continuing to bring a high-energy mix of electronic sounds to the island, with his NRG residency combining trance, rave and bass-heavy influences.

Ibiza Spotlight recently visited the club to experience one of the Monday nights, reporting on a programme that moved between UK bass, garage, jungle, breaks, trance and other underground sounds.

A Different Side of Monday Night

The NRG residency has established Monday as one of Ben Hemsley’s regular nights at Amnesia.

Rather than focusing on a single genre, the party draws from several areas of electronic music, creating a broad sound that reflects Hemsley’s own trance and rave influences.

During Ibiza Spotlight’s visit, Berlin-based DJ Diffrent was playing in the Club Room, bringing his interpretation of UK underground sounds to the dancefloor.

His set included influences from Garage, Jungle, Breaks and Bass, offering a contrast to the more trance-focused sounds associated with Hemsley.

Ben Hemsley at Amnesia

Hemsley became a familiar name on Ibiza through his previous residency at Ibiza Rocks before moving to Amnesia.

His Monday residency was launched as part of Amnesia's 2025 programme, initially alongside Kettama, with the two DJs taking over the club's Terrace throughout the summer season.

For 2026, the Monday series continues under the NRG name, with Hemsley at the centre of the residency.

Amnesia's current listings show NRG running on Mondays through the 2026 season, with Hemsley joined by a changing selection of guests.

A Bass-Heavy Sound

One of the defining features of the latest NRG nights is the range of bass-driven styles appearing throughout the programme.

Ibiza Spotlight's visit began in the Club Room with Diffrent before moving through the wider NRG experience.

The evening was described as particularly energetic, with UK bass sounds providing a strong presence alongside the trance and rave influences associated with Hemsley.

It is a sound that fits comfortably within Amnesia's long association with energetic electronic music while giving Monday nights their own identity.

From Ibiza Rocks to Amnesia

Hemsley's move to Amnesia marked an important step in his Ibiza career.

Before taking on the Monday residency, he had spent two summers at Ibiza Rocks and developed a strong following through his daytime pool parties and sets.

His return to Ibiza Rocks in 2025 was limited to three June dates, with the DJ describing his new Amnesia residency as a long-held ambition.

The move has since established Hemsley as one of the regular names associated with Amnesia's weekly programme.

NRG Continues Through the Season

The 2026 NRG programme includes Hemsley alongside a rotating selection of DJs and artists.

Recent line-ups have included names such as blk., Datsko, Morgan Seatree, Lia, Dominique, Black Traffic and Jezza & Jod, among others.

The changing line-ups allow the residency to move between different corners of the electronic music spectrum while keeping Hemsley as its central figure.

For clubbers looking for a Monday night built around energetic dance music, NRG offers another option alongside Ibiza's many established weekly parties.

Amnesia’s Monday Sound

Monday nights have become an increasingly important part of Amnesia's weekly programme.

The club's decision to build the night around Hemsley has created a platform for a younger generation of DJs and producers while maintaining the high-energy character associated with the venue.

With NRG continuing through the 2026 season, Hemsley's Monday residency has become another regular fixture in Ibiza's summer clubbing calendar.
