Ibiza's 2026 Dance Season continues this weekend with two contemporary dance performances at the Cas Serres Auditorium in Ibiza Town.

On Friday, October 2, Cía. Daniel Abreu presents “Es Aquí”, followed on Saturday, October 3 by “Lana” from Osa+Mujika.

Both performances form part of the ninth edition of the Ibiza Dance Season, organised by the Consell d'Eivissa and running from September through November at the Auditori del Centre Sociocultural de Cas Serres.

Both shows begin at 20:00.

Friday, October 2: Daniel Abreu Presents “Es Aquí”

The weekend opens with “Es Aquí”, performed by Cía. Daniel Abreu on Friday, October 2.

The piece explores ideas of belonging, displacement and the relationship between people and territory, combining contemporary dance with spoken word.

The production looks at the idea of feeling connected to a particular place while contrasting it with the experience of someone who may only pass through temporarily.

Daniel Abreu is the choreographer and director behind the company, and the Ibiza performance is part of the company's 2026 touring schedule. The company's own agenda confirms the October 2 performance at the Cas Serres Auditorium.

The performance begins at 20:00 and is aimed at adult audiences. Tickets are €8 in advance and €12 at the box office.

Saturday, October 3: Osa+Mujika Presents “Lana”

On Saturday, October 3, Osa+Mujika brings “Lana” to Cas Serres.

The contemporary dance production explores concepts including success, value and status, using the world of work as a starting point.

The performance considers the pressure created by a culture centred on constant productivity and achievement, and how that pressure can affect relationships as well as physical and emotional wellbeing.

“Lana” is aimed at audiences aged 12 and over and has an approximate running time of one hour.

The performance begins at 20:00, with tickets priced at €8 in advance and €12 at the box office.

Part of Ibiza's 2026 Dance Season

The two performances form part of the ninth Ibiza Dance Season, which brings seven productions to Cas Serres between September 4 and November 27.

The 2026 programme combines different forms of contemporary and modern dance, with productions presented by established artists and companies from across Spain.

The season began in September with Paula Quintana's “Atlas de Anatomía”, followed by “Aurora Boreal” from Paula Quintas Cía., “Fandango Reloaded” by Inka Romani and “Nó” by Elahood.

After this weekend's performances, the programme continues with “Mutar. Romper. Vibrar”, created by Dácil González and Carmen Fumero, on Friday, November 27.

Two Different Perspectives on Contemporary Dance

The two October performances offer very different starting points.

“Es Aquí” focuses on place, belonging and the relationship between people and territory, while “Lana” examines modern work culture and the pressure surrounding success and status.

Together, they continue the season's approach of bringing different styles and themes of contemporary dance to Ibiza audiences.
