Forbes Baleares Presents Its Ibiza Edition at Sa Capella, Bringing Together Business Leaders and Public Figures

October 11, 2026

Forbes Baleares officially presented its regional publication in Ibiza on Friday, 9 October 2026, at Sa Capella in Sant Antoni de Portmany. The event brought together representatives from the island’s business community, tourism and hospitality sectors, culture, gastronomy and public institutions.

The presentation was led by Andrés Rodríguez, president of SpainMedia and editor of Forbes Spain, and presided over by Vicent Marí, president of the Ibiza Island Council. The gathering introduced the publication’s editorial vision and its aim of highlighting the people, companies and projects shaping the Balearic Islands.

A Regional Publication With an International Outlook

Forbes Baleares launched in April 2026 as a new regional editorial project from Forbes Spain and SpainMedia. Its coverage extends beyond traditional business reporting to explore tourism, gastronomy, culture, lifestyle, entrepreneurship and the economic developments influencing the archipelago.

The publication aims to connect the Balearic Islands’ business and creative communities with a wider national and international audience. Its approach places particular emphasis on local talent, established family businesses, emerging entrepreneurs and companies developing projects with ambitions beyond the islands.

The publication is available in Catalan, Spanish and English, giving its coverage a multilingual reach.

Ibiza’s Business and Cultural Community in Attendance

The presentation brought together representatives from across Ibiza’s public and private sectors.

Among the institutional attendees were Sant Antoni mayor Marcos Serra, Santa Eulària deputy mayor Miguel Tur Rubio, Sant Josep deputy mayor Nieves Bonet, Ibiza Town Council commerce councillor Álex Minchiotti and Ibiza Island Council economic promotion councillor María Fajarnés.

The gathering also included representatives from hospitality and tourism businesses, including Pacha Group, Palladium Hotel Group, Concept Hotel Group, OKU Ibiza, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, W Ibiza, CBbC Group, Beso Beach and Grupo Nassau.

Figures from gastronomy, design, culture, nautical activities and the creative industries were also present, reflecting the range of sectors contributing to Ibiza’s economy and public profile.

Moving Beyond Ibiza’s International Image

One of the themes highlighted during the presentation was the need to look beyond Ibiza’s widely recognised tourism image and give greater visibility to the people and businesses that sustain the island throughout the year.

Vicent Marí highlighted the importance of recognising local entrepreneurs, professionals, family businesses and workers who contribute to the island’s economic and social development.

Andrés Rodríguez described the project as a commitment to building stronger connections between the Balearic Islands and mainland Spain, using the publication to share stories of local innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship with a broader audience.

Juan Suárez, Forbes Baleares’ representative in Ibiza, also highlighted the island’s combination of international outlook, creativity, gastronomy and tourism as part of its distinctive identity.

Sa Capella: A Historic Setting for a Contemporary Event

The choice of Sa Capella provided a setting that connected the presentation with Ibiza’s architectural and cultural heritage. Located in a former 16th-century chapel in Sant Antoni, the restaurant is one of the island’s distinctive historic venues.

The location offered a backdrop for a gathering focused on the relationship between local identity and international reach, a theme that also underpins the publication’s approach to covering the Balearic Islands.

A Platform for Stories From Across the Balearics

The Ibiza presentation extends the project launched in Palma earlier in 2026 and reinforces Forbes Baleares’ intention to cover the entire archipelago.

Its editorial focus includes established businesses, new ventures, tourism, sustainability, innovation and cultural initiatives. By bringing these subjects together, the publication aims to document the people and ideas influencing the islands’ economic and social future.

The event at Sa Capella marked the official presentation of Forbes Baleares in Ibiza, placing the island’s business and creative communities at the centre of its regional coverage.
