Sonorama Ibiza Closes Its Sixth Edition with a Full House and the Return of Two Iconic Ibiza Bands

October 06, 2026

Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza has closed its sixth edition with a full house at Venice Bay, bringing two days of live music in Cala de Bou to an end on Saturday, October 3.

The final day combined national indie and pop acts with two particularly anticipated returns from Ibiza's own music scene: Peter Colours and Statuas d Sal.

After a first day affected by unsettled weather at the Auditori Caló de s’Oli, Saturday brought clearer conditions and a full programme that began at midday and continued into the night.

The final concert came from Madrid-based duo Marlena, who closed the festival at 23:00.

Two Days Across Three Ibiza Venues

Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza 2026 took place on October 2 and 3 across three locations in the Sant Josep area.

Friday's opening programme was held at the Auditori Caló de s’Oli and was free to attend. Kitai opened the concerts at 18:00, followed by Modelo, Éxtasis, Tenda, Comandante Twin and Oslo Ovnies.

The second day began at 13:00 at Cinerama, inside Hotel Grand Paradiso, with Bouza vs Dylan, the project led by Galician musician Fermín Bouza as a tribute to Bob Dylan.

The main programme then moved to Venice Bay, where the doors opened at 16:45.

Peter Colours Return to the Sonorama Stage

One of the most anticipated moments of the weekend was the return of Peter Colours.

The Ibiza band originally formed in the late 1990s and ended its main run in 2014 after almost two decades together.

Their appearance at Sonorama came 12 years after that original farewell.

The band had already made an unexpected reunion appearance in December 2025, when they played at Cañas'n'Roll in front of a strong response from their former audience.

That concert led to further invitations, eventually bringing Peter Colours back to the Sonorama stage.

The group, led by Javi Riera, also known as Javi Box, performed at 18:05 on Saturday.

Rather than announcing a permanent reunion, the band has described its recent performances as an unexpected continuation of a story that had originally ended in 2014. Riera has indicated that further dates are possible, although the group has not presented itself as a permanently reformed band.

Statuas d Sal Also Return

Peter Colours were not the only Ibiza band making a significant return.

Statuas d Sal also appeared during Saturday's programme, performing at 20:30.

The historic Ibiza group had recently announced a return to the stage alongside a new record, Desde la otra orilla, which reinterprets and updates some of the band's earlier material.

The group has also indicated plans for a wider tour in 2027.

Their appearance created a particularly local moment within a festival whose programme otherwise brought together artists from across Spain.

Saturday's Final Concerts

The Venice Bay programme followed a tightly scheduled sequence.

Anabel Lee opened the main stage programme at 17:00.

Peter Colours followed at 18:05, before Anni B Sweet performed an acoustic set at 19:15.

Statuas d Sal took the stage at 20:30, followed by Tu Otra Bonita at 21:45.

Marlena then brought the festival to its conclusion at 23:00.

The running order had been confirmed ahead of the festival by the organisers and Sant Josep's cultural programme.

Marlena Brings the Festival to a Close

Marlena had the final slot of Sonorama Goes to Ibiza 2026.

The duo performed for the full Venice Bay audience, bringing the sixth Ibiza edition to a close with a set focused on their songs about relationships and love.

The performance marked Marlena's first appearance at Sonorama Goes to Ibiza.

With their 23:00 set, the duo became the final act of the two-day festival.

A Weekend That Survived the Weather

Weather conditions were one of the challenges during the opening day.

Friday's concerts at Caló de s’Oli went ahead despite periods of threatening weather and rain around Cala de Bou.

Kitai opened the free programme at 18:00, with the audience gradually building as the afternoon progressed.

The weather improved for the second day, allowing the programme at the Hotel Grand Paradiso and Venice Bay to proceed as planned. Reports from the closing day describe clear conditions and a full venue for the evening concerts.

Ginebras' Cancellation Changed the Final Line-Up

The final programme was not the same as the original 2026 announcement.

Ginebras withdrew from the festival for reasons unrelated to the organisation.

Sonorama subsequently added two acts to the programme: Anni B Sweet and Statuas d Sal.

The festival's official website confirmed the change and stated that ticket refunds were available under specific conditions for purchases made before September 22 at 12:00.

The revised programme ultimately brought 13 acts and projects across the two-day event.

Looking Back on Sonorama Ibiza 2026

The sixth edition brought together established Spanish acts, emerging artists and two important pieces of Ibiza's own musical history.

Peter Colours' appearance was particularly significant for audiences who remembered the band's original period from 1997 to 2014, while Statuas d Sal's return added another connection to Ibiza's independent music scene.

At the same time, artists including Anni B Sweet, Tu Otra Bonita, Marlena, Anabel Lee and Kitai helped maintain the national focus of the Sonorama programme.

The festival also continued its established combination of live music, gastronomy and the Mediterranean setting of Cala de Bou.

A Full-House Finale

By the time Marlena took the stage on Saturday night, Venice Bay had reached full capacity.

The final performance brought two days of concerts to a close after a programme spread across Caló de s’Oli, Hotel Grand Paradiso and Venice Bay.

For Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza, the 2026 edition ended with a particularly strong local element: two Ibiza bands returning to the stage, a packed final venue and a closing performance from Marlena.

The organisers have not yet announced dates or details for the 2027 edition, but the sixth edition has now officially come to an end.
