October 11, 2026
Sunday, October 11, 2026, brings a wonderful mix of traditional celebrations, sport, art, markets, family activities, boat trips and live music to Ibiza and Formentera.
The day begins with cycling, yoga, local markets and outdoor adventures before moving into a particularly rich afternoon of island traditions. The Fiesta at Pou de Forada celebrates Ibiza's rural heritage, the Festes del Pilar fill Formentera with traditional food and music, and Ibiza Town welcomes the XXIV Mostra Folklòrica Ciutat d'Eivissa. Meanwhile, the second stage of the Vuelta Cicloturista and the final day of the Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas make Sunday an important date for sport.
There is also plenty to discover away from the festivities, from the free public opening of Lotus Art in Motion to boat excursions, family experiences, sunset activities and the islands' continuing autumn arts programme.
For visitors looking to experience the islands beyond the clubbing scene, Sunday offers an excellent opportunity to discover the local traditions, culture and communities that make Ibiza and Formentera special.
Start Sunday with Wellness and Outdoor Experiences
Sunday begins early across Ibiza, with wellness sessions, guided walks and opportunities to explore the countryside.
The OKU Ibiza Day Experience and Around the Island Adventure with Ibiza Outdoors both start from 08:00.
Yoga classes at Hotel Riomar begin at 08:30 in Santa Eulària, while Hotel Galfi offers its morning session from 09:00 in San Antonio. Yoga by the Sea at Hostal La Torre also starts at 09:00.
For those who prefer a more adventurous start, A Walk on the Wild Side heads towards Sa Pedrera de Cala d'Hort, better known as Atlantis, combining hiking with a swim in one of Ibiza's distinctive coastal landscapes.
Visitors can also choose guided walking routes, coasteering, outdoor excursions and other experiences around the island. These activities offer a different way to discover Ibiza's natural environment during the quieter autumn season.
Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza: The Second Stage
Sunday is an important day for the XXIII Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo, with the second road stage taking riders from Sant Josep de sa Talaia to Sant Antoni de Portmany.
Riders assemble at Sant Josep Town Hall Square from 08:00, with the stage scheduled to start at 08:30.
The approximately 100-kilometre route includes around 1,540 metres of climbing, taking participants through parts of Ibiza's countryside and northern landscapes. Checkpoints are planned around Sant Carles, Portinatx and Santa Agnès.
The expected finish is at Passeig de ses Fonts in Sant Antoni at approximately 15:00, followed by a stage trophy presentation and barbecue from 15:30.
The event continues on Monday, October 12, with an individual time trial bringing the four-day programme to its conclusion.
XXXVII Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas
The final stage of the XXXVII Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas also takes place on Sunday, bringing the multi-day sailing regatta towards its conclusion.
The fleet is scheduled to depart from the bay of Sant Antoni on a course towards Ibiza Town, covering approximately 18.2 nautical miles.
The warning signal is scheduled for 10:30, with the final trophy presentation planned for 19:00 at Restaurante Calma in Marina Ibiza.
Organised by Club Náutico Ibiza, the regatta brings together cruising yachts competing across the waters connecting Ibiza, Formentera and Sant Antoni.
For sailing enthusiasts, the final stage offers another opportunity to follow the competition before the winners are recognised in the evening.
Traditional Ibiza at the Fiesta of Pou de Forada
One of Sunday's most distinctive local celebrations begins at 13:00 at Pou de Forada, near the Mercat de Forada.
Organised by the folkloric group Brisa de Portmany, the Festa des Pou de Forada celebrates Ibiza's rural heritage through traditional music, dance, games and food.
The programme includes ball pagès, traditional games, communal singing, the contest of ucs, tir amb bassetja, a traditional slingshot competition, and the popular Sa Verro Race.
Food is also a major part of the celebration, with sweet and savoury pastries, bunyols and café caleta available throughout the day.
For those staying for lunch, the published programme lists a traditional popular meal for €15, including frita de porc, bread, a drink and bunyols.
Supported by Sant Antoni Town Council and the Consell d'Eivissa, the event brings together residents and visitors around the island's rural customs and traditions.
For anyone wanting to experience an authentic side of Ibiza beyond its beaches and clubs, Pou de Forada is one of Sunday's standout events.

Festes del Pilar in Formentera
The Festes del Pilar continue in El Pilar de la Mola on Sunday with a full programme of traditional activities, children's entertainment, food and live music.
The day begins at 09:00 with a Compak Sporting shooting competition at Can Lluc, organised as part of the festivities.
At 10:00, older residents of El Pilar de la Mola lead a workshop making bunyols, the traditional pastries associated with the Balearic Islands.
The afternoon continues with the artisan market from 16:00, followed by inflatable castles for children from 17:00. A children's workshop and face painting organised by Qué Celeste begins at 18:30.

The evening concludes with a performance by La 22 at 23:00.
Organised by the La Mola Festival Committee and the La Mola Residents' Association, the Festes del Pilar are among Formentera's important annual community celebrations. The wider programme continues into October, with the main feast-day activities taking place on Monday, October 12.
Tardor d'Art and the Cati Verdera Exhibition
Formentera's autumn cultural programme continues with Tardor d'Art, whose exhibitions remain open across Sant Francesc.
The programme connects contemporary art, public spaces and island cultural life through exhibitions at Jardí de Ses Eres, Centre Antoni Tur 'Gabrielet' and Sala d'Exposicions Ajuntament Vell.
At the Far de la Mola cultural and educational space, the exhibition dedicated to Cati Verdera's donation to the people of Formentera also continues.
These exhibitions provide a slower, art-focused alternative to the island's busier tourist attractions and can be combined with the Sant Francesc Market or an afternoon visit to La Mola.
Lotus Art in Motion Opens to the Public
Contemporary art takes centre stage at Mondrian Ibiza in Cala Llonga on Sunday, with the public opening of the third edition of Lotus Art in Motion.
The exhibition is open to residents and visitors from 12:00 to 20:00, with free entry.
This year's edition brings together 20 artists from 15 countries, presenting 60 original works across painting, sculpture, photography and digital art.
The participating artists include Domenico Formichetti, Lela Radulovic, Alex Jenkins, Andrea Bonaceto, Koceila Chougar, Joan Mas, Mario Belem, Skygolpe, Sergio Preciado, Lauren Baker, Jordi Gomez and other international and local creatives.
The event also incorporates music and visual elements, creating a meeting point for artists, collectors and the wider public.
Saturday's programme was reserved for invited artists, collectors, press and industry professionals, making Sunday the opportunity for general public access.
For art lovers, the exhibition is one of the most interesting cultural events taking place in Ibiza this weekend.
XXIV Mostra Folklòrica Ciutat d'Eivissa
Ibiza Town celebrates traditional music, dance and dress with the XXIV Mostra Folklòrica Ciutat d'Eivissa.
Organised by Colla Sa Bodega with the collaboration of Ajuntament d'Eivissa, the event brings together folkloric groups from Tenerife, Palencia and Ibiza.
The procession begins at 17:30 at Plaça de Julià Verdera in Figueretas and makes its way through the streets to Can Ventosa.
Performances begin at 18:00, with the participating groups presenting the dance, music and traditional costumes of their respective regions.
Entry to the performances is free, making this an excellent opportunity to experience local and Spanish folk traditions in the heart of Ibiza Town.
The event is particularly worthwhile for visitors interested in ball pagès, regional music and the traditions that continue to shape life across the Balearic Islands and Spain.
A Day on the Water
Boat excursions remain one of the easiest ways to discover Ibiza's coastline, and Sunday offers several options for exploring the island from the sea.
Captain Nemo's daytime trip to Es Vedrà departs from San Antonio at 10:00, with the excursion scheduled to run until approximately 14:00.
The Beach Hop Cruise to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta begins at 11:00, offering time to enjoy two of Ibiza's best-known coastal areas.
