Like Mike has returned to the stage alongside his brother and longtime musical partner Dimitri Vegas, making his first live appearance since stepping away from touring earlier this year.

The Belgian duo reunited at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Wednesday, September 30, during the closing night of their 2026 Tomorrowland residency. The appearance marked Like Mike’s return to live performance after taking a break from touring to focus on his recovery from health challenges.

A Return to the Ushuaïa Stage

Like Mike, whose real name is Michael Thivaios, had stepped back from upcoming live performances in July after announcing that he was dealing with health challenges and needed time to focus on his recovery.

His decision meant that Dimitri Vegas continued several performances without his brother, including their Tomorrowland Mainstage appearance in Belgium, where Dimitri Vegas dedicated a moment to Like Mike and told the crowd that they were looking forward to seeing him back on stage.

The Ushuaïa Ibiza appearance therefore represented an important moment for the duo, bringing them back together in front of a live audience.

The Closing of Planaxis

The reunion took place during the final night of Tomorrowland and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s 2026 Ushuaïa Ibiza residency.

The residency ran every Wednesday from May 6 through September 30, with 19 dates built around Tomorrowland’s Planaxis concept. The production transformed Ushuaïa Ibiza’s outdoor stage into an underwater-inspired environment, drawing on Tomorrowland’s “The Story of Planaxis” universe.

The season featured a wide international lineup alongside the Belgian duo, including Afrojack, Alok, Steve Aoki, Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, Netsky, Lilly Palmer and many others.

For the September 30 closing, the announced lineup included Dimitri Vegas, Hannah Laing B2B Lilly Palmer, Massano, MATTN and LAMAR.

Like Mike's First Live Show Since July

The return comes after Like Mike announced in July that he was pausing his live schedule.

At the time, he said he had been dealing with health challenges and had decided to step away from touring for the following months in order to concentrate on his recovery. He subsequently missed performances that had been scheduled with Dimitri Vegas, including appearances connected to Tomorrowland.

The exact nature of his health challenges has not been publicly detailed, so it is more accurate to refer to the reason given by Like Mike himself rather than speculate about his condition.

Nearly Two Decades Together

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have been performing together for many years and remain closely associated with Tomorrowland, where they have been global ambassadors since the festival's early years.

Their Ushuaïa Ibiza residency has also become a regular part of the island's summer electronic music programme, with the 2026 edition marking their ninth year at the venue.

The 2026 season combined their high-energy electronic sound with Tomorrowland's large-scale visual production, with Planaxis providing the creative theme for the Ushuaïa stage.

A Significant Ibiza Reunion

Like Mike's appearance on September 30 was more than simply another set in the residency.

It marked his first confirmed live performance since taking his touring break and reunited the brothers on stage for the closing chapter of their 2026 Ibiza season.

The performance also brought the Planaxis residency to its scheduled conclusion after 19 Wednesdays at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

For Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the Ibiza reunion provided a fitting end to a season that had taken an unexpected turn when Like Mike stepped away from touring during the summer.

The next chapter for Like Mike's live schedule has not been fully announced, making his return at Ushuaïa an important first step back onto the stage.
