The Municipal Band of Santa Eulària des Riu will perform a special concert in Santa Gertrudis this weekend, with the music of animated cinema taking centre stage.

The concert is part of the municipality's cultural programme and will bring well-known film soundtracks to the village through a performance designed for audiences of all ages.

Animation Takes Centre Stage

The programme will focus on music from some of the most recognisable animated films, transforming the concert into a musical journey through different generations of cinema.

The repertoire will include pieces associated with popular animated productions, allowing the audience to recognise familiar melodies in a live orchestral setting.

The concert aims to combine culture and entertainment while introducing younger audiences to the sound of a traditional concert band.

Santa Gertrudis Hosts the Concert

The performance will take place in Santa Gertrudis, bringing the municipal band outside its usual venues and into one of the municipality's best-known villages.

The event forms part of Santa Eulària's programme of cultural activities designed to bring music and performing arts to different communities across the municipality.

The setting also provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy an open and accessible cultural event.

Music for All Ages

With animation as the central theme, the concert has been designed to appeal to both children and adults.

The familiar film repertoire provides an accessible introduction to live music for younger spectators, while older audiences can revisit soundtracks connected to films they grew up watching.

The result is intended to be both entertaining and educational, demonstrating how music can shape the atmosphere and identity of animated cinema.

The Municipal Band

The Banda Municipal de Santa Eulària is one of the municipality's established cultural institutions.

Its concerts form part of Santa Eulària's wider commitment to promoting musical education and live performance, while giving local musicians opportunities to perform regularly for the public.

The band frequently combines traditional repertoire with themed concerts aimed at reaching broader audiences.

A Cultural Evening in Santa Gertrudis

The upcoming concert adds another musical event to Santa Eulària's autumn cultural calendar.

By placing animated cinema at the heart of the programme, the organisers are bringing a familiar and accessible theme to a live concert setting.

For families, it offers an opportunity to enjoy an evening of music together, while for regular concertgoers it provides a different take on the repertoire of the municipal band.

The Municipal Band of Santa Eulària will perform its animation-themed concert in Santa Gertrudis as part of the municipality's cultural programme, with the event open to the public.
