A family in northern Ibiza is appealing to the public for help locating five pet goats that they say were taken from their finca in Sant Miquel on August 19.

The goats — named Lolita, Rayo, Goku, Lola and Cloe — had been living at the property in the Can Savió / Can Chanklas area for around six years. Their owners describe them as companion animals that were raised and cared for from a young age rather than livestock kept for commercial purposes.

The family is particularly concerned about Lola, the oldest of the group, who was visibly limping when the animals were taken.

Five Goats at the Centre of a Dispute

According to the owner, the goats were taken from the finca by a group of individuals on August 19.

A separate report by Periódico de Ibiza says the owner, a woman named Montse from Sant Miquel, claims the incident is connected to a family dispute involving the land where the animals were being kept. She says the goats were taken without a judicial order and that she attempted to prevent them from being removed. She also says she was physically assaulted during the incident and has filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil.

These are allegations made by the owner, and the circumstances surrounding the removal of the animals remain the subject of the reported dispute.

Concern for Lola

While the family is hoping to locate all five goats, they are especially worried about Lola because of her age and mobility problems.

The goats are described as small-breed animals, with three females and two castrated males. Their owners say they have no significant commercial or livestock-production value and have instead been kept as pets.

The family is therefore asking residents to pay attention to any unusual sightings of a group of small goats appearing at a nearby rural property.
