Santa Eulària des Riu is preparing to celebrate Tourist Day on Thursday, September 17 with a programme designed to showcase the municipality from several different perspectives.

A total of 11 activities will take place throughout the day across Santa Eulària, Cala Llonga and Es Canar, combining outdoor experiences, cultural visits, activities on land and at sea, local crafts, traditional entertainment and family events.

The programme has been designed to encourage visitors to discover more than the municipality’s beaches, highlighting its natural landscapes, cultural heritage and local traditions.

Explore the river, Puig de Missa and Can Planetes

One of the main experiences will be a guided walking route following the river through Santa Eulària before continuing towards Puig de Missa and its historic church.

The route will then continue to the Can Planetes mill, where participants will learn more about the historical importance of the river and its relationship with the municipality’s agricultural past.

The itinerary will finish with a visit to the Sala Barrau, adding an artistic element to a route that combines nature, history and local culture.

The walk offers a way to connect several of Santa Eulària’s most important landmarks within a single guided experience.

Discover the countryside by electric bicycle

A second outdoor option will take participants on a guided cycling route using electric bicycles from Cala Llonga.

The activity is intended to reveal some of the municipality’s landscapes beyond the main resort areas and coastal promenades.

The use of e-bikes also makes the excursion accessible to participants who want to explore by bicycle without the physical demands of a conventional cycling route.

It forms part of the wider effort to promote active tourism within the municipality.

Kayak and paddle surf arrive at Cala Martina

The sea will play a major role in the Tourist Day programme.

A combined kayak and paddle surf excursion will depart from Cala Martina, allowing participants to explore natural and heritage features around the bay and surrounding coastline.
